“Very nice Italian...with a twist”
Reviewed October 21, 2013 via mobile

The Italian food is good here. Very good. And the Mediterranean style fish and meats are my favorite. But new additions include some really good but unusual shui rolls. Try them!

“A great combo of Italian dishes made with LATAM fare”
Reviewed October 20, 2013

To try the pasta with aji de gallina, or the lobster ravioli, or the pear and walnut salad is a nice getaway for our family. Whether it is a quick early dinner before the movies or theatre, or a relaxing weekend family dinner, Trattoria Sole on Sunset is one of our favorites. We usually like sitting outside and the server for that station has always given us consistently great service. He is very knowledgeable of the ingredients, and knows how to sell the evening's specials. Good guy, good food.

“Good italian food and ambiance”
Reviewed October 7, 2013

Visited this restaurant some time ago and went for dinner again, food is good, but still find it a bit pricy for pasta, ravioli, etc.
Sat outside, since it was breezy, they had a tv outside and football was on.
Good house chardonnay wine, long island iced tea not competitive with other places, they were nice to take that into consideration.
Servers were kind and good paced.

Food is good. They have some creative dishes. Prices are kinda high for the offerings. Pasta is not an expensive dish to produce when you consider what the are charging.

“basically Italian with a touch Peruvian”
Reviewed June 19, 2013

At a time when most Italian restaurants in the US appear so homogeneous in menu Trattoria Sole is welcome. The traditional dishes are there. Yet, some of them show touches of originality like the crab ravioli with saffron. On the other hand, the fried calamari were overcooked and hence chewy. They have added some Peruvian dishes , particularly ceviches and a few Japanesse ones, after all, there is a significant Japanesse presence in Peru. Nevertheless, it cannot be missed, the trattoria looks and feels Italian. The service is good.
