Just took a trip down the Juniper Springs run and it was a lot of fun. This is really a trip for someone with experience. The run took just over 5 hours for a groups of six kayakers to make the trip down the 7 miles. The river is very narrow and it has a swift current. We were fortunate the water level was high and we did not have to lug the kayaks over any of the dead wood. As it was we did get hung up several times due to submerged trees and the current did wreck havoc! On the fun side we did see, a deer, snake, and several birds (no gators). Oh yes, the one small rapid was fun, fun, fun. A trip to enjoy but you should get on the water early.
