“Basic hotel but absolutely the best location possible”
Reviewed July 30, 2011

Nice basic hotel, but in my mind a 2.5 star hotel. Great service and ok pool. It is all about location here and that you certainly find by choosing this hotel (100 m from the best beach in the world - just awarded) and 100 m to the center of Siesta with lots of various restaurants, pubs and shops.

This past weekend was our second stay in the past 2 months at the Siesta Beach Resort. Overall, if you want to have fun in the village this is a great place to stay-everything, including the beach, is within walking distance. The front desk staff has always been helpful and friendly, but the maids could take a lesson on cleaning. That being said, the hotel could really use some repair and updating in the rooms. However, you can't beat the cost for what you get right on the Key. Upon check-in, ask to see the room first. The staff was willing to let us do this first-a good thing because we asked for a better room which turned out to be fine.

Location is the Best!!!- Besides all the private rentals I think this is the only hotel (with a pool/jaccuzzi/maid service/danish and coffee in the morning) right in the middle of it all. The staff are friendly and very helpful- a joy to talk to. The Price was right we got a suite had lots of room and were very comfortable, no complaints... it is right across from the beach and right down the road you can walk to all the restaurants and shops - no need to drive anywhere once you arrive. The beach is beautiful and the water was amazing....a very quaint town and a joy to visit- go to the Japanese restaurant down the road where they cook in front of you- simply delish!!!! Can't go wrong staying here so sit back relax and enjoy!!!! (oh yeahhh... i am glad i did not listen to the bad reviews I took a chance and I was not dissappointed... no this is not a fancy upscale hotel so if you are looking for that this is not for you....I was very happy i gave it a try and i would definitely return in the future !!!

Room Tip: go for a suite -

The bed was very uncomfortable it was like sleeping on a rock. I couldnt really sleep cause of the bed. The air conditioner wasn't cool enough either. The floors were dirty. But the jet tube was very nice in the bathroom and the people there were very friendly. The hotel was in walking distance from the beach. Next time when we come back i think i'll pay more money for a hotel on the beach

We read the reviews on this hotel and; frankly we don't know where some of these bad review people stayed. Hotel is old and has been redone in a very nice Mediterranean style.
Rooms are clean, grounds are landscaped and clean. If you are a smoker plenty of places outside for that. Location is everything here. 1 block walk to beach; couldn't be anymore convenient. For the money and convenience to beach this is a great deal!

Room Tip: Get room by pool and enjoy landscaping.

On their website it states that they have 24 hour hotel staff, but this is far from the truth. When we need the hotel staff at 2am. Because the people in the connecting room had finally decided to come back to their hotel room after bar hopping all night and wanted to continue the party in their room. The hotel staff wasn't their because they close the office at 11pm till 7am. So from 2am till 4:30am we had to deal with their partying and smoking in their room which ran into our room because of the poorly sealed connected door.

The room quality was ran down, but what do you expect for a two star hotel.
Thank god we got a great deal and didn't pay full price.
But don't get me wrong, you will never see us return to this place again, I would rather sleep in my car.
Unless of course they update the old old old rooms and complex, and hire overnight staff and security.
They did however recently update the bathrooms, to be fair, but the rest of the room was just old and worn down like a old beach roachtel.

Room Tip: any room but 233, or any with digits.

Everything in this suite is old and ripped. To be specific : all the furniture looks like it was picked up in a junk yard and looked and had signs of severe wear and dirt. The blankets had holes and so did the shower curtain. here were sign of patched holes in the walls throughout the whole suite that were not even painted on top. Windows were broken. The matresses were very hard and uncomfortable. I cannot believe they charge $200 per night for this dump! :(

Room Tip: Stay away from the suites (216)!
