Description: Ophelia's on the Bay is one of Sarasota's premier fine dining waterfront restaurants. Enjoy beautiful vistas of Little Sarasota Bay, from the floor-to-ceiling windows that line the dining room. Or join us for al fresco dining on our open-air patio, as the dolphins and manatee swim by. Winner of many awards both locally and nationally, including an Excellence rating from Zagat as well as being listed as the number one restaurant in America in Power and Motoryacht Magazine for dock and dine. Ophelia's on the Bay has also been voted most romantic, best waterfront and best restaurant with a view by its loyal customers. The menu changes nightly using fresh and seasonal ingredients, fresh fish flown in from all over the world and specialty meats. There is certainly something for every palate! We feature an extensive wine list, specialty martinis, as well as a full bar. Family owned and operated for over 27 years, we have an experienced staff that prides itself on exemplary service.

The view and ambiance are beyond appealing at this pricey restaurant so if you're looking for romance and outdoor dining, this is the place for you. Our server, who was quite pleasant, made several key mistakes, including serving the wrong salad, forgetting a side item and not remembering to refill a drink order during our meal until the coffee service. The crab cakes were amazing, the ahi tuna was great and the filet mignon was tender and tasty but, all things considered, this was probably just a one time only experience for us.

We were there Sunday evening with our son, daughter-in-law & 3 grandchildren, ages 6, 4, & almost 1 year old. Our dinners were delicious. No children's menu but they have chicken tenders & French fries, pasta with butter or marinara sauce, but only spaghetti or linguine no short pasta, which is messy for little ones. Also smaller portions of filet mignon, or shrimp in a sauce. Our server Janelle was very nice & attentive. I had the veal & lobster risotto it was delicious. Hubby had the Snapper, very good. My daughter-in-law Chilean Sea bass in a broth with scallops & cellophane noodles, she said BEST ever. My son had sushi grade tuna which he said was very good but sliced the wrong way. for appetizers I had Kale soup $11.00, it was good but pricey. Mussels were delicious per my son. The kids had the chicken fingers & fries $10.00 each. We were celebrating my kids anniversary & Janelle brought out 4 glasses of champagne for a toast. Very nice finishing touch! Rolls were warm & garlic flavored with whipped butter. Really good! We will definitely return. Parking is valet. No changing table for babies. My daughter-in-law had to go to the car to change my granddaughter.
