Description: Ophelia's on the Bay is one of Sarasota's premier fine dining waterfront restaurants. Enjoy beautiful vistas of Little Sarasota Bay, from the floor-to-ceiling windows that line the dining room. Or join us for al fresco dining on our open-air patio, as the dolphins and manatee swim by. Winner of many awards both locally and nationally, including an Excellence rating from Zagat as well as being listed as the number one restaurant in America in Power and Motoryacht Magazine for dock and dine. Ophelia's on the Bay has also been voted most romantic, best waterfront and best restaurant with a view by its loyal customers. The menu changes nightly using fresh and seasonal ingredients, fresh fish flown in from all over the world and specialty meats. There is certainly something for every palate! We feature an extensive wine list, specialty martinis, as well as a full bar. Family owned and operated for over 27 years, we have an experienced staff that prides itself on exemplary service.

“Disappointed”
Reviewed June 19, 2011

Sat outside to enjoy spectacular waterfront setting but unfortunately invaded by flies! Had to retreat inside where we were left to our own devices for a while. Problem with under-cooked pork met with indifference so overall not a particularly good evening! which is such a shame when it could be the best restaurant in the area.

“Great view!”
Reviewed June 14, 2011

Two acquaintances took me to Ophelia’s for dinner. It is on Siesta Key and looks over the inlet. The view is lovely sitting outside or inside. Fish are jumping out of the water and there are birds everywhere. I had the special: it was a rib eye with coleslaw, and it was good. It was cooked to order and tasty. My colleague had the fresh mozzarella salad, and it was a bit soft for my taste. The only option for parking is valet parking, and the valet was very nice. My main complaint about this place is that it was too dark. By the end of the evening, I could barely see the people I was dining with, and we were sitting inside. That is fine for a romantic dinner, but when with clients, co-workers or friends, there needs to be a bit more light.

“Gorgeous veiw -- excellent meal!”
Reviewed June 10, 2011

We went here for our wedding night dinner. The service was excellent, and the food was delicious. The menu was widely varied and had choices for everyone. We had an appetizer, drinks, and an entree each. While it was on the pricey side, it was well worth the splurge. The entrees were about $5 more than the dinner entrees at two other semi-fancy places we went during the week, but exponentially more delicious. I have lived in DE/MD area and would highly suggest trying the crab cake appetizer. That alone would make an incredible meal if paired with a salad. We will go to Ophelia's the next time we come to Siesta Key!

“A great meal overlooking the bay”
Reviewed June 1, 2011

As it was our last night in Siesta Key, we decided to spluge on Ophelia's. We made reservations and requested a table on the deck overlooking the bay. Our waitor was great and answered all our questions. Although we did seem to notice some of the wait staff appeared better than others.

The wine menu had a nice, wide selection of choices. We decided on the crab cakes for an appetizer which they split into sperate plates for each of us and were fantastic. The California spring mix salad was also amazing. I had the cocnut and cashew encrusted Mahi Mahi and my wife had the scallop dish. Both of which were prepared perfectly and tasted great. For dessert we chose the dark cholocate & cherry bread pudding.

We had a wonderful, relaxing dining experience overlooking the bay. A great place to splurge on.
