“Peaceful village”

Came here for a family vacation and don't regret a thing. Pulled onto the stunning property and was impressed with how well it is kept. Front office staff (Buddy, Becky. and all) were so helpful and made it feel like my home away from home. The room was clean, up to date, and just steps from the beach. We will be back. Well worth it! The only con is some guests smoke outside the room and you can catch wind of it. Overall we loved it!

We stayed here for two nights early April. The resort has a great laid back atmosphere. The staff is very helpful. Parking is convenient, right in front of the suite. The rooms are small, but very clean. We booked the one-room suite that has a kitchen and a small living area. There are good restaurants right across the street. We ate at Big Water Fish Market a couple of times - good and fresh daily catch. The hotel also has nice landscaped common areas with pools and a volleyball court - we didn't enjoy those. The hotel also provides beach chairs, umbrella, surf boards and water toys, which proved to be useful.

Location: There are a lot of hotels / vacation rentals in the same complex, so at times it feels crowded. The location is excellent, with 3 minutes walk to the beach. The beach is crowded, since it is Spring Break season. The hotel is situated at the south end of the Siesta Key beach. A short walk takes you to the Point of Rock (a little rock climbing necessary) which has tons of shells and sea life. The kids really enjoyed the powder sand beach.

The only drawback is that the hotel price is quite expensive. I was hoping the cost will translate into a more relaxed and secluded experience, but I was wrong. The nice weather plus spring break drew in large crowd. In the future I will return during a quieter / cheaper season, probably in Fall.

The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. They always smiled and we felt very welcome and part of the family. They organized an Easter egg hunt for the all the kids at the property which was beyond our expectations and truly appreciated.
I cannot stress enough how friendly and accommodating the staff was.
The rooms were super clean and everything worked. My only reason for giving 4 stars rather than 5 is that they are the small side for a family of 4. It was tight with just one bathroom next to the bedroom. So when the kids had to use the bathroom at night they had to walk through our bedroom. Given the rate we paid per night I would have expected more space.
The restaurants in the area are the usual fried food, poor quality, overpriced, let's gouge the tourists variety. You are better off driving a little further and getting decent quality.

We made our reservations two weeks ago for Easter weekend. We arrived late and they left check in info in a box by the door. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable.
It was a short walk to the beach and a convenient location for getting around in the area.

The staff was very helpful. We came in thinking we would have to change rooms our last day , but they worked to make it so we didn't have to.

We will return here if we come back to visit Siesta

After reading the other reviews of this place, I'm wondering if these other people stayed here. Yes, the staff is pretty nice and the beach is not far away but this is a glorified motel, not a resort. I paid $350 per night for a tiny little room with a kitchenette. One window had a view of my car and the other (That is ground level and doesn't lock) has a view of a wall. My complements to their photographer. This looked really good on the internet. If you can get this for $150 per night, it might be a good deal but don't get duped like I did into thinking it was something special.

Great place to stay if you're looking for a quiet, relaxing vacation by the beach. It's a little bit away from Siesta Key Village where all the restaurants are but that's a good thing because it's really quiet and there's a free car service that can take you to the "village." A tiki bar in the resort would be cool, there's one down the block but I found them to be rude. All in all, great accommodations, would stay there again.
