“Inexpensive and charming”

A great choice over a boring chain hotel. Management was very friendly, accommodated our later check out time and even showed us a choice of rooms and gave us a little tour before we booked.
Within walking distance of beach and bars. Free DVD rentals at the office, a very charming one bedroom apartment with a full kitchen. Our own private entrance with porch furniture! Complementary Aveda hair products in the bathrooms! Very nice except for the terrible stiff pillows on the bed.
Good couples spot. I'd definitely stay again.

My husband and I planned a trip with hesitation in every click while booking, knowing that we were traveling with our 2 small children (2 1/2 and 4months). Based on reviews alone, we booked our stay at the Tropical Beach Resort, and we could not have been more impressed. The resort seemed almost cottage-like, very quaint and cozy. We were able to park directly outside of our room with very easy access. The walk to the beach was just a hop, skip, and jump away. While we didn't even take a break from the beach long enough to enjoy the pool, we did scope it out and the conditions looked beautiful. It was the small details that the resort offered that really won me over...the coffee available in the morning, the free movie checkout to enjoy a cozy night with the toddler, and the changing rooms available so we could have beach time even after checkout. Wonderful and helpful staff the entire time. We are hoping to make this an annual trip, with Tropical Beach Resorts at the heart of it each time we come.

This place gives you a overall relaxing feel. The hotel is part of a couple other places (topical sun, tropical shores)...The sara see is set up in a horseshoe shape, with a picnic area in the middle. Two propane grills, tables, lounge chairs. Front desk was extremely helpful, you can rent movies/shuffleboard/chairs etc. Beach is long, so you can take long walks, except you may want to wear water shoes. Some areas are very shelly and hurt the feet! You can rent a lounge chair for half a day for 12 dollars!! so worth it. We had a great time and will definitely come back...also went to so very good restaurants at "the village" which is about 3 miles away. You can take a shuttle (donations accepted), no fee. Which is a good idea since parking at the village is a premium. The only negative thing i that have to say is that the water faucet in the room had some mold on it. Not sure why, since everything else was very very clean. We just drank bottled water!!

The location is outstanding: about 150 meters from the beautiful beach of Siesta Key.
The room was perfect: awesome king size bed and a little kitchen which conveniently replaced the lack of complementary breakfast.
This is the perfect place to relax and enjoy.

Booked on Tuesday of the same week, Stayed from Dec.6th 2013 until Dec.9th. The property is quaint and very clean, room was very comfortable and roomy. We had a Sara Boutique, had such a nice time, we booked another 3 night trip right before Christmas. We will be in a different building, staff was more than accommodating, they seem to have thought of the little things as well. I lived in the area off and on for 17 years, now I go back as a tourist, this is a great find!

Room Tip: Go online and look at the rooms, they are all nice and freshly renovated, if you can do a queen bed...

We stayed in a very pretty 2 Bedroom Suite, not huge, but big enough (would be fine for a family of four), clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. It's a short walk to a beautiful beach, miles long, perfect for walking, running, swimming or pelican watching. Gorgeous sunsets, too. Wifi works pretty well, nice kitchen and bath. The staff couldn't have been nicer. We found this to be a great deal in a lovely, relaxing location.

Room Tip: 2 bedroom suite is lovely

This was our first time staying here and we really enjoyed our stay and will be back to the same place. Staff is very nice, complimentary towels and chairs for the beach too. If you happen to stay in, they also have complimentary DVD's to rent from. This is just steps away from the ocean. We liked the fact we got to have a private beach that wasn't overcrowded. The bed was amazingly comfortable too!!!!
