We arrived at Siesta Key disappointed to find out that a favorite restaurant was gone. However, we couldn't have had a better meal in the restaurant that replaced it. We found a new favorite restaurant. We arrived with a 3 month old and a 2 year old. The owner and her daughter went out of their way to answer all of our questions and serve us and they were very friendly and accommodating, The owner, a parent herself, catered to our 2 year old and brought him fruit and ice cream. Tired of pub food, so I was encouraged to see an authentic Latin restaurant. We are pretty particular about our Spanish food, and compare it to our favor restaurant in NYC, but Senor Siesta satisfied all of us. The food (including the flan) was delicious! We are also particular about Sangria, and I have stopped ordering it in most restaurants because it is usually very watered down, and we are spoiled by a Cuban family recipe, but again, we were pleasantly pleased - big glasses, not watered down and delicious. We highly recommend this restaurant. It is one of the best restaurants in the area.

This is delicious food, graciously served. Unique recipes developed by Chef Tom come to your table with all the information you need to appreciate them beyond good taste. Xiomara offers explanations of the less common foods and their preparation, and she seems genuinely to like her role as culinary educator; her warmth is infectious. Please do leave your expectations behind--especially if you're accustomed to Tex-Mex. Develop an adventurous palate and experience Latin food, influenced by many countries' cuisines. We're lucky that Senor Fiesta is in our neighborhood and can yield to the craving, but even if you find this tiny dining room while on your travels and can enjoy it only once, give yourself that once. It will be a savory memory, and who can say when you might find your way back to Siesta Key and this little village delight.

The service is unsurpassed. Our hostess/waitress made us feel like part of the family. After several visits we have found the menu to be varied, interesting, authentic and always excellent. It's a true Latin restaurant with influences from the Caribean, Mexico as well as Spain. A can't miss.

We are visiting from Boston and used to eating Mexican food. Nothing compares to Señor Siesta. The dishes are innovative and authentic. The taste was second to none that we have sampled here. Try the Pastelone. It was outrageous. Maria our waitress catered to our every wish and desire. She even introduced the chef to us! We can't wait to go back again.

So enjoyable, and what a delight to find a restaurant that didn't serve ridiculously huge portions. The bacalao starter was delicious, so was the paella and the Rioja as recommended by the waitress who was also delightful. We chatted to the owner and also to her husband, the chef. We only found it towards the end of our holiday, but if we return next year, it will feature on our to do list. Thank you!
