We stopped here twice while staying at Siesta Key,once during happy hour and once for dinner. The drinks did not appeal to us they are frozen like at Fat Tuesdays,so after one each we settled for cold beer which was fine. This place is more known for drinking rather than eating, but we tried it nonetheless and it was okay but doubt if we will eat here again..The menu is more of a grill, sandwich type which might be better for a lunch.

This restaurant is a fun place with great food. If you like to people watch, there are plenty of tables outside but under a roof in case it ever rains, which it doesn't. They opened a new DD in Venice, but this one has an old Florida feel to it that makes it a must stop even just for drinks. Don't worry about dropping in with a cover up over your swim suit; it's a relaxed atmosphere any time of day. The food is great too!

We visited both in Siesta Key & St Armands. The one in SK had better service but the one in StA wss a nicer location. 2 for 1 daquiris total cost $6 is hard to beat. Coconut shrimp is very good. Large shrimp. Nachos could use a little more toppings

We had lunch on a sunny day in Sarasota at the Daiquiri Deck.
Grandma ordered the Fresh Fruit Platter $10 but she was not happy with it.
My wife ordered the Philly Cheese Sandwich $11 and it was just avg.
I ordered the Crab Cake Sandwich on Kaiser roll $12 and it was knock you socks off wonderful.
Nice sunny day lunch break.

Every year we go here for brain freeze! In fact during a week stay we will go about 5-7 times. The atmosphere is fun, the drinks are great and best of all the menu is getting better! I had the grouper sandwich and it was a real nice size and alligator bites for an appetizer . My mother got the lobster roll which was tasty and decent amount of lobster, another person got the coconut shrimp and they were huge!! I could keep going on however, at least the food part is getting better!!
