Crescent Arms Condominiums
Reviewed November 19, 2013

We stayed at Crescent Arms 302N during the first week of Nov 2013. This is an excellent condo in a nice building. This condo in particular is very updated - hardwood flooring, stainless appliances, granite countertops and recently updated bathrooms. The owner had everything you could need - plenty of towels, beach umbrellas, coolers, etc. In addition, Joan provided excellent directions and instructions for the condo. She even called just prior to arrival and after we were there a few days to be sure we were doing ok and suggested restaurants and things to do.

The condo has great beach access, and we really enjoyed being able to drink a glass of wine and grill steaks while watching the incredible sunsets.

Overall, we had a great time and truly enjoyed our time in Siesta Key - I highly recommend Crescent Arms 302N and hope to return soon.

We rented 303South 9/21/13-9/28/13. We were a little hesitant to book after reading a review posted in March, however, we were assured by the management company that we would not see or have any problems the reviewer complained about. I can't say enough about the property and this unit in general! The pool is beautiful and the beach is so peaceful. There were ample towels for the unit and the beach. The storage closet has plenty of beach toys and umbrellas. The laundry room is conveniently located next to the unit. The beds were comfortable. The linens were clean. Each room has it's own tv. We couldn't pass up the substantial discount the owner offered. We would highly recommend Crescent Arms and have already booked 303 south again for our Family Vacation next year.

I rented 303S, with great trepidation due to the bad review given on Tripadvisor in March. The reason I rented it was because of the deep discount offered @ $700/week. The normal range for beachfront properties is usually between $1100-1400/week.

The building - it is kinda old, feels like an apartment building that has seen better days, small property with few amentities. The pool was a bit rundown, but was fine for swimming. The BBQ was fairly new and worked well. Covered parking was tight, but fine for a regular sized car.

The unit was quite plain looking, was in need of new fixtures and a more vibrant paint color. The kitchen was good for cooking in with enough utensils and cutlery etc. The previous reviewer's complaints about leaks etc had obviously been corrected as I could see where the p[roblems had been. However, it needs to be repainted. There was plenty of hot water. The sofa felt a bit scratchy. could be replaced for a more comfortable version. The 2 leather lounge chairs are very comfortable. The 3 T.V's are very convenient, and 2 are large flat screens with an excellent satellite package of channels. The King bed was comfortable, although newer sheets would help. The 2 doubles sagged a bit, but my kids had no problems with them. When we arrived the cleaning crew hadn't done a great job as the floor was sandy, and tables a bit dusty. The kitchen was the cleanest part. However they quickly came in and mopped for us.
The view of the beach was from an angle, but was decent. Better furniture on the lanai would make the space more inviting though. Loved the close walk to the beach!! The phone was not working (inconvenience as we didn't bring a cell), but the owner kept in contact and said she was trying to get it turned on again to no avail. Overall, if you are looking for a budget friendly place, cannot beat the price and location. If had some remodelling and painting done, it would be worth $1000 for sure.

We have stayed here two years in a row in different units. The only reason I did not rate it a 5 is because the property is older and has limited amenities. Both of the units were updated and well appointed. The beach here is among the most beautiful anywhere. Both units were a great value, I would recommend Crescent Arms and if we come back to Siesta Key we will be staying here again.

First of all, I want to give a big thank you to J & P. Schaller who simplified the rental process down to a 2 step process. Crescent Arms 302N is an absolute beautiful condo. The first thing you notice when you step in the door is the beautful view out to the ocean. The condo is meticulously decorated in a 'Florida Beach Deco'. The master has a very comfortable king size bed and the 2d bedroom has two twins. This was perfect for my two sons (6 & 9). In addition to plenty of beach toys, the condo supplied every other detail you could think of. Full kitchen complete with all cookware, plates, glasses, cups, silverware and anything else you can think of. In addition to bath towels, there were also plenty of beach towels available. Televisions in every room was also a nice touch. Joan and Paul, thank you so much for the chance to stay in one of your beautiful condos. We will continue to rent at Crescent Arms and do so only through you. Thanks, Mike, Alida, Josh and Zach

We stayed at Crescent Arms for our annual vacation with family and friends. Between all of us, we had 5 units here the same week. Everyone seemed very pleased with their rooms. We stayed in unit 501S, which is a center room with direct beach view. We rented directly from the owners. They were very helpful and pleasant to deal with. The unit was clean and stocked with several beach toys, beach towels, umbrellas, and a couple of beach chairs. It was nice to not have to buy all of that. The kitchen was fully equipped with most anything you would need. The only thing I missed was having a washer and dryer in the unit. However, they were just down the hall. You need to bring plenty of quarters with you! Although the buildings are older, from what I saw most of the rooms are pretty updated and in good condition. We will definitely plan on returning to Crescent Arms!

This was an affordable family stay for us with an ocean view, which we wanted. The unit was comfortable but not one I would make an effort to rent again. Lots of little things that have been left unattended. Grip tape in tub coming off, 2 bulbs in kitchen burned out, chain for ceiling fan missing, sliding windows on deck corroded and rusted, toaster only worked on one side. Just little things that could make this a better place.
