If you’re sick of the insanity at siesta beach then take a short trip down here. It’s not powder white sand like siesta beach but you also don’t have a million people around. Lot more chill with a lot more wildlife.

If you like tight quarters, this is the campground for you. We were surprised at how close the sites were to each other and if you are not an experienced RV driver, you may have trouble getting in and out of your site. We left early just so we could avoid being blocked in. As for the beach, it's fine but the beaches where we live have "sugar sand" instead of shell and I'm a bit spoiled by that. Being able to walk just a few steps to the beach (to the west) and to dinner (to the east) was a plus. We prefer a bit more space so we won't put this on our list of places to return to. Small campers and tents would manage much better.

Gorgeous beach, water is sparkling aqua color, sand is not sand, its white , bright quartz which dosent attract / retain the heat of the sun- so no burning feet in the sand ! =)

Our family visited here this past month. We usually go to Siesta Key Beach but decided to try here. It was quiet and even though the sand was not the pretty white fluffy kind, we had the best two days. The walk to the water is short, and the water was exceptionally clear! Will definitely be returning!!

Awesome beach!! We stayed a week at turtle beach campground and it was wonderful. Enjoyed the beach everyday! Far less crowded than any other beach on Siesta Key.
