“Great fishing but hit and miss”
Review of Turtle Beach

I have fished here several times the first time had a hit on big fish rods every hour our so and plenty of smaller sized 2-3lb fish on jigs. Seems its a bit hit and miss though.
Had some rays and small sharks locals seem to concentrate on flounders etc I am aiming to land a tarpon from here as as I say it's hit and miss.
You have to walk some way to the left on the beach to get away from the swimmers for some reason many of them seem to relish swimming exactly where you fish even though no one else for 800 yards around?
Still a very peaceful place if you walk towards point of rocks.

This place was soooooooooo pretty! entry to the water from the beach was tough (very steep) not much flat area at all, but you owe it to yourself to see how beautiful it is!

We fish off the docks and caught numerous fish. Some were small and had to toss back but did get a number we could eat. Shrimp, live and dead, both worked well.

Went on vacation to Siesta Key and was told by a coworker to check out Turtle Beach. So we took a ride and went to check it out. Pretty disappointing, sand was no where near the same as SIesta Key, very grainy and hot. There was some garbage around also. I get it that it isn't as crowded but I'd rather deal with people on a nice cold soft beach than sit on this beach. It was also not very flat but more of a hill. Needless to say we didn't go back.

we visited in January and this was not the turtle time of year-beach is much different than siesta n key so don't expect the same type of sand or size .It is less crowded and actually a very nice beach is you don't like large crowds
