My wife and I decided to try this restaurant because of the favorable reviews on Tripadvisor and Yelp. Although there is limited parking, The Cottage has complimentary valet parking. We dined in the courtyard behind the restaurant--although it was a warm summer night, they have strategically placed fans that provide a nice breeze. They also have nice live music, which is muted and helped provide ambience. We had the "Famous Tuna Tiradito," which is tuna sashimi in ginger soy sauce with slices of watermelon. In addition, we ordered the Chilean sea bass skewers with Cuzco corn. Both were delightful. We also ate the Teriyaki Mahi Mahi sliders, which were superb. They come with a variety of "Cottage house chips," which taste good but are extremely salty. Service was excellent also. Overall, a wonderful dining experience.

We were a party of 8.. Noone told us that our 45 min. wait would turn out to be over 2 hours! Due to rain, they lose 70% of their seating! We were not told we would never get seated! We left starved, as we went across the street to a Pizza Place.

Don't let the laid back ambience and decor fool you, the food at this place is exquisite! This is a great stop in the Village area of Siesta Key after a day in the sun to get a tasty dinner. Stacy (our waitress) and the rest of the wait staff are friendly and so helpful - the chef even stopped by to say hello. There was only one less than friendly bartender while waiting for our table. Fantastic cocktails (spicy mango margaritas and strawberry basil vodka martinis) while we were waiting. The appetizers of sashimi (the escolar served on a sea salt stone in particular) knocked our socks off - even for my friend who doesn't generally like fish or sashimi. My salmon was cooked to perfect and my friend's filet mignon was one of the best she had ever had. Overall, great service, great food and very reasonable prices. If I make it back to siesta key, I will make it back to this place.

Perfection! The Cottage never disappoints! We live in Palm Beach County, and came just for the lobster bisque. The cottage is such a haven from the fast paced rhythm of the city. The food is suburb, the ambiance so upbeat and peacefull. The service outstanding. We were greeted by a bubbly upbeat jewel of a gal named Hannah. What a sweetheart, with a hospitable personality and knowledge of menu and area to pair. Thank you cottage for making our First Year Anniversary one for the record books<3

We arrived for dinner at 8:45pm and the weather was nice out, the wait was approx 45 minutes. We had heard great things about this place so the wait was not problem. The problem began when it started raining...the wait turned to 90 minutes as there are only 10 tables inside and everything else was outside uncovered. Once we finally got seated and were ready to enjoy a nice meal the rain came hard and fast and drenched us on the patio. We had no choice but to leave as there were no tables available inside which meant we would have to wait even longer. We did get appetizers at the bar while we waited and the food was delicious. We may return one day to see what the dinner is like but will make sure there is no rain in the forecast.
