In the very small downtown of Siesta Key this restaurant vies with maybe a half dozen others. Do not be put off by the misleading "Baja" reference (I know you are on a little island in Florida for heaven's sake!). We went in Saturday lunch and it was hopping but the staff showed no signs of stress and were very nice. Lauren behind the bar an absolute gem! What "youngster" these days comes straight up and greets with her name and wants to know yours!! Grouper "bites" were a special - oh my!! Not what we expected as they were large pieces and they were awesome. Tortilla soup V good and wings just ok.

One of my favorite places to go to. Fish Tacos is my favorite but haven't met a dish here that we didn't like. I love me some margaritas and they have the best. Order a pitcher. Live music, great outdoor seating....which we prefer for people watching. Hey, we all do it! Tip..use the valet parking as parking as hard to find in this popular spot.

We enjoyed a spirited and musical early New Year's Eve dinner at this popular hot spot! Glad we called ahead to find out when to arrive before it got too busy, we got there early before the crowds rushed in, and was able to secure a table right in front of the talented guitarist playing upbeat Spanish music! Our friendly, ever smiling, and helpful server Megan made our dinner out even more special. It was rather cool that night so we were made comfy by the large real fire heaters placed around the outdoor patio where we were seated. We began with the freshly made guacamole, spicy queso, salsa, and chip appetizer, it was small for 3 people. The fresh grilled grouper sandwich( without the bun) was a big portion and I chose the one side of sweet potato fries( unheard of in a typical Mexican style restaurant) I was told because this restaurant is Baja style, they have more atypical entrees! Another entree ordered was the swordfish, the sauce on top was too spicy, as well as the rice. Another kind of rice was quickly brought out to replace it. The grilled grouper taco was too small with only one side.
We also ordered a pitcher of mango flavor white sangria, but this was clearly not their speciality, as it was too filled with ice and orange slices and not enough mango to call it that. And for $28 a pitcher, it was just not worth it... I saw many pitchers of margarita going to tables, but as we were by the bar, I noticed a lot of ice poured into the pitchers so it could be watered down and go further. Many diners were ordering single flavored margaritas and the huge taco salads went by our table often. Maybe we will try that combination next time.

The Hub is a nice casual place with indoor and outdoor seating. They do not have a huge menu, but they still have good variety, and the quality of all the food is very good, and the service is great.

Really mediocre food: canned beans/ instant rice, store bought flour tortillas and expensive prices. Service was terrible too: hardly anyone there and we still waited about 45 minutes and then they got our order wrong ( forgot the 2 year olds food). Chipotle makes better food and would cost 1/3 of this place. If you want to drink magaritas here that might make sense, but if you want to eat, go anywhere else and you'll be happier, seriously, like even Mcdonalds ( and it won't cost $100 either)
Really a total dissapointment!
