We were exploring Siesta Key for the first time and decided to grab lunch. We stumbled onto The Hub in a part of town filled with eating establishments. This one caught our eye. The exterior was festive and inviting. There was a smiling hostess greeting us at the door. Our waitress was very friendly and took extra time to make sure we were taken care of and enjoying our meal. There were many good dishes to choose from. We had the 3 dip nachos with tri-colored tortilla chips, and the Screaming Shrimp appetizers. Both were generous portions and SO good!! Then for an entree, we split the Stir-fried Tilapia in Ginger sauce....my mouth is watering just remembering how good it was. 2 thumbs up on presentation, portion, and taste! We will definitely stop there again if in the area.

On vacation in Florida, we had a late lunch after jetskiing Siesta Key. Living in Southern California, we were skeptical of a Baja styled Mexican restaurant in Florida but we were very glad to have stopped in. The foods was fantastic and portions generous. The prices were less than I expected to pay. But what really set this place apart was the service. The hostess and wait staff were amazing. The experience was as good or better than many of the Baja-styled places we hit regularly in Southern California.

We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of Mexican food at The Hub. We started with a dip combo including a Pico, a Guacamole Salsa, and a Queso dip. All three were freshly made and flavorful. For our entrees we had the Mahi Lettuce Wraps and the Chicken Quesadilla. Both were very well done. This was not chain American Mexican - it was flavorful and fresh! The happy hour Margarita deals made the meal. :)

We ate here on a Friday night. There was a long wait but that did not matter as we were out for a night of enjoyment. The drinks were plenty strong and tasty and the food was also very good. We especially liked the live music on the outside deck. The place itself is kind of cramped for space but it is a nice ambiance just the same. It is not 5 star food but the service was very good and friendly. The food was very tasty and the prices were on par for this type of place in a beach/vacation style setting. Go and enjoy an app and a drink. You won't be sorry.
