Beautiful, open beach with plenty of room and warm, turquoise waters. Many people enjoying beers and drinks on the beach (not sure of the rules though), so on our next visit, we'll likely bring drinks with us. However, parking and traffic was a nightmare. You have to get there early, and expect traffic getting out on of ~30 mins. We arrived at 1130am and drove around for 15-20 mins. We finally found a spot on a side street near the bars and walked to the beach from there. It's one lane out of the SK area so be patient when driving out. We stopped for drinks and live music rather than sitting in heavy traffic. Will definitely visit again!

What a great way to spend a day. The white sand is amazing and it never gets hot! We spent the day on the beach and then had a late BBQ lunch in the picnic area. Only drawback that we found was the fact that there were no showers to rinse off the salt and sand.

We were walking to entrance 5 and entrance 3- both do not have public restrooms or changing booths. Also would be great to have water excess after you leave beach to wash out sand from your foots

Great beach top notch. One thing though, parking is impossible, luckily we were staying right on the beach because the public beach parking was always full and there was no real alternative.

We arrived at the public beach around 9:30, so we snagged a parking spot right away. Enjoyed walking the beach for quite a while, crowd wasn't as noticeable since the beach is long and wide. The sand is pretty unique in that it is silky soft, yet cool under your feet. Parking is a huge downfall here, not near enough for spring crowds, when we returned to our car to get a few things, people were like vultures preying on our parking spot. (Not that they have much choice!) We didn't even try to return later to watch the sunset because we knew there would be no parking. I would advise trying to book a place to stay near the beach to avoid the parking hassle. We drove up the coast to the southern end of Anna Maria Island to watch the sunset and had that beach to ourselves.
