Husband and daughter (8) snorkeled at the Point of Rocks with gear bought at Target. They saw plenty of colorful fish and coral and had a great time. A cool free activity.

Our condo was actually right on point of rock. The best time to visit this area is at or near low tide. Great place to look for shells.

This point of land is a good spot to use as a reward for walking the entire Siesta Key beach from the north end along the Public Beach access to the far southern point of rocks.

This is the best place on the island to find larger shells. It's basically a reef right on the beach. I don't know if it's a natural reef or if it used to be something else like a road. Either way, you can beach comb, snorkel or just take a walk here. Keep in mind that some of it is private property so please respect the residents and other people living there. It's tricky to get to. I advise that you go at low tide. Don't try to climb the rocks to get around the bend from the beach. Just to straight down the steps and walk around the sharp rocks.

Great place for shells. It's fun to climb up on the sea wall and walk to the other side of the rocks, where it is a different world from Crescent Beach. We saw a lot of people fishing around the rocks in this area. It's a great place to end a stroll on the beach.
