I almost hate to tell anyone about this place...for selfish purposes! It's the PERFECT location...it's not dirrectly on the beach...but just seriously 20 steps from it. Great view, good beach access and perfect location from Siesta Village. Far enough to be away from the bright lights and bustle...but so close it's a nice stroll to get there. FUN, FUN, FUN atmosphere...It remided me of Key West with the funky, fun decor and setting. We stayed in the 2 bed 1 bath, it was VERY clean and had all the amenities we needed right down to the boogie boards and noodles. Beach chairs, umbrellas..etc. Even a grill and nice outdoor seating with you own porch swing. It was so romantic at night! Owners were great! Can't wait to go back!

We are from Florida's Gulf Coast, and had already stayed at three different 4 and 5 star resorts on our vacation before we decided to drive through Siesta Key. We had absolutely no plans upon arrival. We stopped by the Chamber of Commerce for advice on the area in general, picked up some brochures, then decided to drive around and see what caught our eye. Although this was not the same type of property we'd been enjoying so far, we both immediately thought this was somewhere we needed to explore further. The property had a funky, beachy, uniquely welcoming look and excellent location, so we parked. The owner lives on-site. The woman we talked to was very personable and showed us around. I believe the property has 6 regularly rented units. They have three gas grills complete with tools and grill lights, free wi-fi for guests, coin-operated washers and dryers (bring soap), a koi pond with a waterfall, free use of beach chairs and umbrellas, VCR, cable, stereo, fully equipped kitchens, coffee maker, linens, and the beach is powdery white and pet-friendly. There are ample common deck areas with gas grills right outside the rooms, and large tables, with chairs and umbrellas - perfect for lounging in the shade or sipping a glass of wine or cold beer. We chose one of the one-bedroom King suites. Our unit had a porch swing out front, and sliding glass doors that gave us a beautiful gulf view from the couch and kitchen. We had one bathroom, a comfy couch and loveseat, a breakfast bar off the fully equipped kitchen, and a nicely sized king room with TV, lots of hangers, tons of closet space, and room to spread out. The air conditioning did its job. We were encouraged to, and did make use of the grills, and it was a welcomed change to be able to relax and enjoy a steak without having to worry about much clean-up. We were told that we could leave our car parked the whole time we were there and still enjoy our stay, which was spot-on. The Village is an area within easy walking distance - a couple blocks - from the property, where you can eat, shop, or hear live entertainment at night or during the weekend days. It's close enough to walk there in less than 5 minutes, but the property is off the beaten path and remains a quiet retreat away from the crowds. The beach is directly across the street, and we appreciated the free use of beach chairs and umbrellas. As guests, we were even able to pick up the wireless signal at the beach. That was a huge plus for me, since I was squeezing in homework while vacationing. The owner does live on site and randomly gave us advice on cool things to see and do within walking distance. Excellent recommendations and good memories as a result! Also during our stay, we ran into a few other sets of guests who were staying there on return visits and had nothing but good things to say. Although this was not officially the same class of hotel we had been staying at, everything about this property scored highly with us, and the extra unexpected touches ensured all our needs were met and expectations exceeded. We will definitely go back when we are in the area. It's one of the few places we both said we'd happily return to without feeling the need to check any neighboring properties. Thanks! Corey & Mary
