Lived in the area for many years and did not care for the food, now under new management the food is very good, they have new dishes to choose from. My boys love their "Papa rellena" stuffed potato balls. They are gigantic and so yummy. Cuban sandwiches are great. Place very clean and they have a chef's daily special. Employees are very nice. Very happy to have them in our home town!!!!!!!!

I went in to order food around 7pm for 4 ppl. The restaurant was empty except one person. The young lady who assisted me was nice. They had a selection of roast pork, baked chicken, ropa veja, and a few other items. They did not have a lot of sides available. Yellow rice plain or yellow rice w pigeon peas.they also had corn, yuca, plantains, and string beans.I basically ordered everything that I listed. The food clearly had not been cooked that day. The plantains were hard and inedible. The baked chicken was tastless and tough. The roast pork was just ok. The Ropa Vieja was OK low on flavor, a bit tough, and it looked like a mush of food. The corn had an odd flavor. The black beans and yellow rice were good but the rice was really old and hard and the person fixing our meals had no problem scrapping all the last bit of hard crusty rice into the tray despite the fact that it clearly was not edible. None of the food had any flavor and it was quite disappointing it did not seem to be seasoned. If you are craving cuban food and you live in the area and don't feel like driving far to get it this place will scratch that itch, but if you are looking for fresh authentic Cuban food this place will dissapoint you. A one entree two side meal cost 6.99 $ and came with a side of potato chips. I also got a deviled crab added on for 2.50 $ it was low on flavor and crab meat. It was mostly breading. Over all one take out container held enough food to feed two ppl so the value was good. But the food simply was not fresh which impacted the flavor. I will not be returning here.
