“Worth the time and money”
Reviewed September 23, 2013

I visited the museum on a rainy day just looking to knock out some time hoping that this place was worth that time. It was. I spent about 40 minutes walking through and seeing the treasure trove of items that they have. It's interesting to read the story behind each item. I do recommend a visit here.

“Well worth the admission”
Reviewed August 12, 2013

We were able to use our over 55 discount so the admission was only $5.00 per piece. Great exhibits and we learned a lot more about the treasure hunting of Mel Fisher than anything we had seen on documentaries..

“Interesting but small!”
Reviewed August 4, 2013

I was expecting a much larger building, although they cover pretty much all about the Atocha.. I left feeling a bit Blah! The museum has mainly replicas of the gold bars and chains... I'd recommend it, but I found a visit to a local treasure hunting office a bit more exciting!

“pleasant surprise!”
Reviewed July 31, 2013

We were delighted to find this museum by accident. We were traveling through Sebastian and decided to stop here to check there pieces of sea history. First, we viewed a film of the family history when they started to look for sea treasures and artifacts. Then we went through their shop with many things to offer from authentic doubloons to recreations.

“Treasures of the 16th Century!”
Reviewed July 29, 2013 via mobile

A very nice selection of treasure brought out of the ocean. Worth a visit to see the gold, silver and jewels lost at sea around 1512.
