“Good location, but worst hotel ever”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 23, 2006

BEST - The hotel has a great, location, next to the airport. The also offer, shuttle to airport. Good for a business traveler, who is there only for one night.

When we arrived, I went to turn on the shower, and the shower was broken. The water, wouldn'g go down, and it started to overflow onto the floor. The airtraffic, was very noisy, very close to the airport you could walk but very far from the gates area. They offer free continental breakfast, all it is cearal, OJ, and very small share.
Berger King, is like 5 blocks away. Better food. We ate there. This hotel is right on a strip mall, area, very busy for traffic, very hard to get onto the street.

The hotel is not really labeled well. But its on Rt.15.

The rooms are not safe at all, don't leave any valuables. Also, entry into rooms, is from the parking lot, meaning you go from your car, to your room. Very small, lobby area.

I don't request, this for familes, and people on vacation. Only one night kind of hotel.

My husband and I stayed on a Friday night and a Sunday night, while visiting with our granddaughters who were at the Bolletieri Tennis Academy nearby. We had a different room each time but they shared a common denominator --uncomfortable beds. It's time to rotate new beds in, it seems. The staff was helpful, the breakfast just enough to start the day. Our middle night was spent at a Comfort Inn in Clearwater, FL, that had wonderfully comfortable beds.

We arrived late, and checked in. We had no problems. The hotel was full because of the busy baseball spring training season.

There were no elevators we saw. We had to walk up three flights of stairs to get to our room. All the rooms are exterior.

The room is fairly small. The room was an average Hampton Inn. I have been in better ones.

The room had two double beds, a small desk, large TV, and a small bathroom. The room was overall, very clean.

The pool area was ok. The pool is small, but we weren't there for the pool.

The location is ok. If you are wanting to go to the beaches, this hotel is not for you.

We had a few problems with our stay. The hotel keys had an error every couple hours. We had to go down four times to get our keys to work. The staff didn't even say they were sorry.

The breakfast was a typical continental breakfast. No complaints there.
They also provide a weekday news paper.

We spent two days in Sarasota and since it was unplanned, just checked into Hampton Inn. Normally they are reliable. This particular Hampton Inn is friendly and clean, but its breakfast and rooms are not up to the normal standard for a Hampton Inn. (I travel a lot and am not expecting great things from a Hampton Inn .) In our room (a double), one bed was fine but the other one was quite uncomfortable with a subpar budget mattress and ill-fitting sheets. It is on a busy road and you will need a car to go anywhere you'd want to go (beaches, etc.).
