“Great Tip From Tourist Office”
Reviewed August 25, 2011

My wife and I stopped at the Tourist Office on the 3rd day of our road trip to get their recommendation on a hotel. The ladies there were very helpful and we all agreed the Hotel Indigo would suit our needs. It did.
The woman at the Indigo's front desk was so extremely kind I wish I had written down her name so I could compliment her to the world. The building is situated just a few yards off Route 41 for ease of travel to the beach, Old Town and to St Armand's Circle. The hotel is new so everything is shiny, even the elevators. The room was well appointed and the bed extremely comfortable.
We were a bit disappointed in Sarasota but at no fault of the hotel or the staff so we probably won't be going back. I do highly recommend the Indigo as a reasonably priced hotel at $113 per night with free parking and one that is conveniently located in Sarasota.

Well we completely fell on our feet with this hotel. Turned up at the Tourist Info place, picked up a leaflet from outside as it was closed and picked this hotel out as it was the nearest.

Receptionist welcomedmus with a deal for $99 for the night and was really helpfulmtelling us where to go in Sarasota as it wasbour first visit.

Rooms are newly decorated with a ocean theme which worked really well in this location. Bed really comfy and lovely big shower in the bathroom.

Would recommend to anyonenwanting to stay at a great location atna great price.

This is an attractive, clean, trendy-looking hotel in a decent location. Its about a 10-15 minute walk to "restaurant row" in Sarasota. The room was comfortable, but unfortunately had a wall-unit air conditioner that cycled on and off all night--a problem for a light sleeper. Overall, I will stay here again because the room rate was a good value, the staff was friendly and the place is clean. Maybe they will have a solution to the a/c noise. One more thing: please put a second bar of soap in the bathroom.

I recently stayed 3 nights during July 2011 for a family celebration. The hotel is consistent with the Hotel Indigo in the Galleria area in Houston Texas. The hotel has on-site parking, including underground parking, although I suspect it might be limited during the Winter season. I enjoy the restuarant - good food at resonable prices. There is internet available in the room (I did not use it). I did use the computer/internet/printer in the business center to print out boarding passes. The printer was initially out of ink, but the front desk replaced it right away when asked, The location is essentially downtown, but I did not go out on foot as I was visiting my mom about 5 minutes away by car. The hotel is not on the beach (e.g., Siesta Key), but you can get there by car and park for free.

Sarasota is beautiful and so is this hotel. It is also conveniently located to the bay and all of the local attractions. They have live entertainment every Friday night and a restaurant in the hotel.

We stayed at the Hotel Indigo over 4th of July weekend and couldn't have been happier. From the time that we stepped into the hotel the staff bent over backwards to make our stay enjoyable.

The hotel is a boutique hotel that is cozy and decorated in a coastal theme with just enough whimsy to make it fun. The rooms are airy and comfortable with laminate floors with very nautical colors in the furniture and linens.

We stayed in a king suite and our son in a king room. The only difference seemed to be the sitting area and refrigerator that is in the suite. The beds were comfortable for hotel beds, the sleeper sofa was a sleeper sofa and the couch had obviously had it's fair share of use but in the end, we didn't go to Florida to sit in our room. It worked out well for our family to gather in the room in the morning before heading out for the day. It was more important to us that the room was clean and suited our needs, which it was and it did.

The hotel does not have a swimming pool, there is a hot tub and a wading pool, both of which are more than comfortable to sit in and enjoy. There is a restaurant/bar in the hotel, wide open to the lobby lending to the airy feeling. The hotel also offers a salon and work out room.

The hotel is minutes from everything. It took about 10 minutes and a direct shot from the airport, minutes to the bay, a few more minutes to Siesta Key, it's surrounded by restaurants, close to an intimate downtown area, grocery shopping right down the street..

In the end we truly enjoyed our stay there and will stay there when we go back without a doubt.
