A beautifully decorated room with a comfortable bed, helpful and friendly staff, impeccably clean, in a great location.

This was the only chain hotel we stayed in whilst we were in Florida, and though you could tell, it was definitely a step above the average chain hotel. We had a suite which was ridiculously big, with a really nice bathroom. We chose this hotel as a good launching point to get up to Busch Gardens, which it was perfectly suited for. Since it is located across the road from the Van Wezel hall it is in a perfect location to take in a show which we were luckily able to do. The front desk staff were very nice and efficient but didn't make us feel particularly special. All in all its a nice hotel if you want to be in the area, but not somewhere I would choose if I was looking for luxury or a highlight to your vacation.

Room Tip: Functional hotel close to all Sarasota amenities

Hotel was built about 4 years ago and is immaculately maintained. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. The maintenance man even went out to get me a UK/USA power adaptor because I had forgotten mine. Foodservice is good, with healthy meal options such as fruit instead of fries. I was sorry to leave at the end of my 7 night stay. It does not have the opulence of the nearby Hyatt, but it has everything you actually use, apart from a swimming pool.

I have been an international flight attendant for over 30 years, and this particular Hotel Indigo is my top favorite place to stay for work or for a relaxing getaway! Not one detail has escaped the attention of those who planned this hotel. From the colors, the music CD softly playing when entering the room, to the lush sheets and towels...I just stop upon arrival, inhale deeply, and RELAX! The lobby is hip, bright, and comfortable. The bar & cafe look small, but the menu is great and the food is fantastic! The business center is helpful, however wi-fi is available also. The fitness room has just the right machines, and the hotel is spotlessly clean. Love the huge shower with teak seat and heated tile floors. I could nestle is the sumptuous bed, with lots of perfect pillows for days. Rooms have a large desk and office chair, but it is nice to have an armchair and ottoman for a relaxing read. Of course reading on the patio (with its fountain and hot tub & cold tub) is a nice alternative. One of the waiters was kind to deliver dinner to the patio one night! That is typical of the staff, as management must hand pick each employee. All are warm, welcoming, and eager to provide excellent service. The only thing I could think to add is a mini-fridge in each room.

Stayed here based on glowing reviews. Well, it was at best OK. It is NOT a resort hotel. The location is not within walking distance of anything. The "heal;th club" had two tiny outside "soaking" pools about the size of a hot tub. One was hot and the other was cold, both had leaves in the bottom. The hotel restaurant was small, average food and way overpriced. The worst thing was trying to sleep in the cramped room (they do have a huge bath, but no closet?). Dispite billing itself as a somewhay upscale hotel, but they have the typical 'budget chain' under-window air conditioner. The unit made a racket when it came on and blasted cold air across the bed. The bed is another story ... flat, lumpy and hard. The TV was a small analog set. When the air conditioner kicked on you had to turn up the sound. Thin towels and no robe. They was a hair dryer but we had to get a second as the one in the room did not work..There was only one huge, oversized sitting chair. It must have looked good to the designer, but what is a couple supposed to do? For comfort and hotel amenities, this is at best a $90 hotel, but they charge more than twice that much. Not a relaxing hotel and I would never come back.

The hotel itself was beautiful and the staff was helpful and spirited. The room we stayed in had laminate floors and it was so loud. All night we heard voices carrying from room to room and if anything was dropped on the floor in another room on our floor we heard it.

It's $60 overpriced and should be more competitively priced with La Quinta and Hampton Inn, both very nearby. Shower is nice, but no massage head! No flatpanel LCD or Plasma HD TV either! Faux wood floor... Funky... The employees were very nice and professional. The room was clean and comfortable.
It's just overpriced that's all. Hype and sleek advertising.
