“Nice place but needs to listen to its customers”
Reviewed December 31, 2013

Been5 times a s I am an oversea resident, what gets me is the fact when you ask for something not on the menu no matter how simple if it do t fit the hole then it's not happening! "Computer says no"!
Ordered fried rice and then asked for a small bowl without addition, so JUST fried rice and even take it from my ordered fried rice before you add the veg or prawns or whatever, it ain't rocket science!Sorry Sir can't do that we only serve what's on the menu and hey guess what when u give you the check I ll be expecting a nice 20% ! Yep expect all you want , service is what warrants good tip not a blanket can't do that, sort it out changs

“Long Delay in Service”
Reviewed December 22, 2013

My wife and I took our daughter here for a special dinner as a reward on her acceptance into college. After a short wait, and some confusion over our request for a booth, we were seated. The hostesses were pleasant and helpful despite a full house. Our drinks and appetizer order arrived fairly quickly. However, the entrée food order took over 45 minutes to arrive after the appetizers arrived. Our server was excellent though and did the best with what she was handed. It seems that there is a shortage of kitchen staff, or expediting orders or some other management issue that still needs to be addressed and remedied. Overall, we all enjoyed our food and found the quality to value ratio to be excellent. The décor is a modern trendy design but does tend to be noisy. Management did comp us a dessert for the delay and that was appreciated.

“Operational Problems”
Reviewed December 19, 2013

We have been to this restaurant three times since it opened and experienced problems every time. There seems to be a huge problem with delays in the kitchen, and also not enough waiters and busboys. Tables sit uncleared forever. Today we were seated and waited nearly half an hour at our table before finally flagging down the hostess who found us a waiter. The food is reasonably good, although the portions at lunch are quite small and a bit pricey. It is a beautiful facility in a good location but it badly needs some organization.

“A very ordinary Chinese restaurant”
Reviewed December 19, 2013

Over the years I have experienced a number of restaurants that have the same problem as PF Chang's. I describe these restaurants as having a better architect than a chef. The ambiance exceeds the food.

We tried the new PF Chang's in Sarasota with good expectations even though we found the one in Beachwood, OH disappointing. It didn't live up to those expectations. It has a very "chain" feel. The dishes are inconsistent in quality. We had the chicken lettuce wrap and it was very good. We had egg rolls and they were reminiscent of a Chinese buffet where the food has been sitting out too long. Even if they had been fresh cooked, they were average at best. We had egg drop soup and won ton soup. Both were OK but not really good. We had sea bass with spinach. The fish was excellent, but barely warm. We felt we were waiting a long time for the bass and the waiter was probably busy and let it sit waiting for pickup, so it got cold.

Over all I would not return. There aren't a lot of Chinese choices in Sarasota. Another relatively new one is Yummy House. It isn't great, but it is better than PF Chang's.

“so - so”
Reviewed December 17, 2013

This was my second try at this spot in Sarasota. The food is so salty it makes it almost inedible & the $10 drinks taste only of "sour mix". Will not return!
