Description: The Oasis Cafe & Bakery is located on the intersection of South Osprey ave. and Siesta Drive. Parking is located in the front of the restaurant and also in the rear of the restaurant. We are a family run restaurant who's first restaurant was The Original Broken Egg opened in 1985 on Siesta Key when the Palermo's had just two children. Since the first restaurant Jim Palermo has been hitting breakfast and lunch spot on. While Melissa Palermo is a leading baker in Sarasota. She can make anything from a delicious boston creme pie to simple brownies that melt in your mouth. Stop by and view whats in the bakery case! Open for Brunch on Sundays from 8-1:30pm serving up delicious breakfast specials such as stuffed french toast, and incredible potatoes. During the week from 7-2 and Saturday from 8-1:30. The Oasis Cafe is a great spot to pick up a lunch for your picnic before the beach, a spot of coffee or tea before work, and great for large parties of families and friends in from out of town. Call us for any type of catering in house or on location. We have recently done some remodeling and painting and can't wait to have you come see us! Oasis has always been one of my favorite breakfast places. The food has always been fresh, creative and delicious. I couldn't wait to take my boyfriend there for the first time and last month we went. To be honest the food, when it finally arrived was delicious, just as I remembered, unfortunately the service was so bad we will never go back.

It took so long to get our food we asked about it two times, then after we finished our food they never brought our check! We had people that came in after us leaving and we still didn't have our check. We had to go to the back to find the waitress to get it. It was horrible. We are not in a rush at breakfast but 2 hours for some eggs was ridiculous.

If you get good service, this may become one of your favorite breakfast destinations!

The menu's very good but we also suggest you try one of the several specials on the blackboards - one side for lunch specials, which goes up about 11:30, and the blackboard on the other side of the room for breakfast/brunch, which is always available. More imagination and variety than other lunch places in Sarasota. Plain Jane interior.

We've been going here for about two years. Good informal service. Family owned and run.

We have been here several times and I just wanted to drop a note in and say how we always enjoy dining here. It's very simple, nothing fancy and the staff is always polite. All sorts of fun breakfast items and champagne for the brunch people!! It gets very busy so make sure you watch the clock and don't show up at a prime breakfast or lunch time, you may have a wait.

A nice addition to my hometown!

This place feels a little like the Flying Biscuit or other cool breakfast places. Smaller dining room, more personal service and wonderful food. Will go back again. The croissant french toast was incredible, so tasty and not dry. The egg white omelet with feta and other stuff was great as well.

I don't even know where to start...from omelots, to corn beef hash to veggie hash to home made bakery...just awesome and there's always a waiting list to get in. The locals would like to keep it a secret but the snowbirds still find it...After May it will be ours again!
