We are a family run restaurant who's first restaurant was The Original Broken Egg opened in 1985 on Siesta Key when the Palermo's had just two children. Since the first restaurant Jim Palermo has been hitting breakfast and lunch spot on. While Melissa Palermo is a leading baker in Sarasota. She can make anything from a delicious boston creme pie to simple brownies that melt in your mouth. Stop by and view whats in the bakery case! Open for Brunch on Sundays from 8-1:30pm serving up delicious breakfast specials such as stuffed french toast, and incredible potatoes. During the week from 7-2 and Saturday from 8-1:30. The Oasis Cafe is a great spot to pick up a lunch for your picnic before the beach, a spot of coffee or tea before work, and great for large parties of families and friends in from out of town. Call us for any type of catering in house or on location. We have recently done some remodeling and painting and can't wait to have you come see us! “Wonderful breakfast joint”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 24, 2012

This place feels a little like the Flying Biscuit or other cool breakfast places. Smaller dining room, more personal service and wonderful food. Will go back again. The croissant french toast was incredible, so tasty and not dry. The egg white omelet with feta and other stuff was great as well.

“Best breakfast in town”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 14, 2012

I don't even know where to start...from omelots, to corn beef hash to veggie hash to home made bakery...just awesome and there's always a waiting list to get in. The locals would like to keep it a secret but the snowbirds still find it...After May it will be ours again!

“Great baked goods, spotty service”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 8, 2012

We've been to Oasis several times now for breakfast/brunch. They have delicious baked goods (especially homemade crumb cake). A couple of the times we've had good service, but the last 3 times the service has been rushed, curt and barely there. We're not too keen about their method of bringing out one meal at a time. I understand that they want to serve food when it's hot, but really good restaurants know how to prepare an order to be served simultaneously(just like at home). Overall the food is tasty.

“Great place.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 13, 2012

Breakfast and lunch seven days. This husband and wife run cafe is a charming cafe serving up some very good food at reasonable prices. Breakfast may be their speciality with a large menu and the offer that if you do not see what you want, tell them and they will try to fix it. Excellent service.
