“Nice atmosphere; good drinks”
Reviewed March 22, 2014

This was our 3rd visit to this place as we have fond memories here. I would recommend sticking with sandwiches and finger foods. The blt is my favorite; the grilled cheese was bland and not thoroughly melted. Fries and burgers are good. Service was good, and drinks, esp during happy hour, are very good and not watered down. We love sitting outside and people watch as we enjoy dinner.

“Our first time”

I enjoyed the food. It was unique and tasty. I'll definitely come back. We brought our in-laws and they enjoyed it too.

“Better Choices in the Village”
Reviewed March 13, 2014

Located on the very northern part of Siesta Key Village, the Old Salty Dog has a good bar and bartender dedicated to the Cubs. The food is average and recommend staying with sandwiches and finger food as opposed to entrees. The atmosphere is nice and service OK. There are many superior choices in the heart of Siesta Key Village.

“Lunch”
Reviewed March 12, 2014 via mobile

Food was very good
Price was a little high for a hamburger and fries and a fish sandwich
People around had little respect for others
They think everyone in the area wanted to hear about their little adventures

“OK, but not worth coming back”
Reviewed March 10, 2014

We had a grouper plate (blackened) and fish & chips. The fish part of the F&C was quite tasty, but the rest of the meal was disappointing.

The "blackened" grouper had barely any taste (not Cajun at all). The vegetables were tasteless, and we left them behind. The chips part of the F&C were plain french fries, and not particularly good at that.

We won't be returning...
