Needing food and a place out of the thunderstorm we found Old Salty Dog by accident. The food was good but not exceptional, the service was very good and we enjoyed the experience.

We were here the other and boy were we greatly disappointed! We were poured 2 Daiquiris and they weren't right. Mine was flat and my wifes didn't taste of much alcohol. When we complained. Waitress took our drinks and thought they would pour fresh ones.
Don't think so! They gave us the same glasses! Wow! Bad service and not right! Was afraid they might spit in our food!
Not worth your time! They should close the doors!

The best thing about this restaurant was the name. We both felt like the food was mediocre at best, the portions small, and the prices somewhat high and out of line for what you got. Sorry...just couldn't see all the merits some other diners seemed to experience :( Very disappointed.

This place is really fun. It is right on the water and looks like a dive. The service was fantastic. The young ladies were so kind to several older diners at adjacent tables that we let the manager know about the great service on the way out. I inadvertently left behind my bag and the hostess came "running" out to the parking lot to find me.

We had gigantic fresh oysters, a pound of peel and eat shrimp, some fries and a bottle of screw top wine. All served in paper or plastic plates. Everything was delicious and it was fun.

If you like your fries crisp, let them know, as our fries were tasty but a little soft for my liking.

This is a place you where you wear shorts, flip flops and your big sunglasses as there is no air conditioning and lots of sun.

There was outdoor and indoor dining, nice and clean, very friendly servers. GREAT FOOD! The grouper sandwich was real expenisve though. There is a super loaded hotdog-i cant remember what it was called, hubby got it and ate it ALL, and i have no idea how he managed to eat it. But Adam Richman from Man vs Food ate it, so he had to try it!
