We had a very nice lunch of local seafood and sat right by the water. The oysters were freshly breaded before cooking, fish tacos were amazing and the gumbo and hush puppies were very nice.

This has been one of our favorite restaurants for over 25 years, we have watched it grow from a bar with a few tables and an outside deck to the enormous place it is today.

How sad we were to leave after a lunch with poor service and food. The blackened grouper sandwiches had very, very large buns and a thin, dry piece of lightly seasoned grouper. The baskets that food has always been served in are replaced with plastic plates and metal pseudo fry baskets for the French fries. A poor attempt to decrease portion without the diner knowing.

The waiter took our order, someone else delivered drinks and food...other then that he came back to deliver the check.

Sadly there will be no more pictures taken in the oyster shells for this family.

We have been frequent visitors to this old standby for 14 years and management was always visible but not the night of our visit. First the table we were led to had not been cleaned so the host had to do it himself. Then the white wine was not cold so switched and still not at right temperature. Third time and third different wine finally right. The new bartender has not been properly trained as we've experienced her before eating at the bar. The portions are smaller than I remember and more expensive. Our server tried hard but had too many tables that night to be attentive. The food was good though probably sat awhile before being served. A dinner for two with a couple drinks each and a shared appetizer plus tip was over $100. There are dozens of restaurants in this area where you can eat for that amount and have better service, food, and comfort. I hope it was an off night as we always enjoy bringing our grandkids here and that management doesn't take the night off the next time we come.

Been here enough that they should name a room after us. Over the years the prices have gone up enough that it is no longer a "bargain", but it is still a value. Raw oysters are the best around. It is a "down and dirty" place, in a great location, with terrific fish and shellfish; that goes great with a pitcher of beer. Service is friendly and efficient (you do not linger). Wash your hands (before and after) and dive in.

While the service was friendly and reasonably attentive, our experience was colored by the fact that our meal came out very late, while other patrons who ordered much later after our order presumably went in came out sooner, for unclear reasons. The best servers should observe this quickly, the gathering inpatience of a table, and offer an explanation, which we did not receive. Still, the fish tacos when they did arrive were excellent as were the ceviche rolls. However, a chargrilled Yellowtail was overcooked, dry, and as a result bland. A lobster dinner at 25.95 was enticing and very reasonable in terms of cost. Overall, a mixed experience and since I imagine this is largely geared toward the retiree set, I can understand the likely challenges but still some improvements could be made.
