We have stayed here for the last two visits to Sarasota and the Siesta Key. This hotel is wonderful. The rooms are spotless. The staff are great, helpful, and very pleasant. Lucy in the breakfast nook is to be recommended as employee of the year. She made our stay. Her pleasant personality is over the top. She is very helpful and really enjoys her job. She is a keeper for sure. We hope to see her on our next visit to the Sarasota are.

I live this hotel! Everything is great! The rooms are clean, spacious and modern. The hotel is very quiet and peaceful. There is a pond in the back by the pool and an outdoor sitting area complete with a grill for guests. A little bit of serenity in the city. If you decide to stay here, make sure to book through choice hotels website. They usually have great deals.

Before you book, ask the hotel if they are hosting any sports teams and/or any tour buses. We were there for 5 nights, and the first night and morning were fine. The next morning the breakfast area was very, very crowded by a high school athletic team, so that you couldn't get near the hot dishes or waffle maker. I ended up with oatmeal and yogurt, which we had to eat in the lobby. The next morning we not only had the high school team, but were joined by a tour bus group.....same deal. The morning after that, there was a girls softball team, plus still some of the high school team, but the tour bus was gone. The last morning was the girls softball team, and still some of he high school athletes.

One reason that we stay at hotels that offer the breakfast, is that we can get a good breakfast included in the cost of the room, and it saves us time in getting on with the day. We really did enjoy the first breakfast we had there, but have to say that the other days were a really bad experience, with cereal and danishes the only thing left that we could get.

The only other problem was the constant slamming of the doors on our floor, with the high school kids coming and going constantly to each others rooms during the evening. They did stop at about 11 pm, so sleep was not interrupted. So if you are considering this hotel, ask them if there are large groups staying during the time you are there. This was supposed to be a quiet, relaxing vacation, but it was just like when we evacuated during hurricane Irma.......hectic, crowded and breakfast impossible.

The only other thing was that when I reserved the hotel, I gave them a credit card to hold it. When we checked in, we presented a different credit card to actually pay from. When we checked out, I asked the front desk to double check which card they actually had charged, as I saw the card that we reserved the room with was charged, and not reversed as it should have been. Glad that we asked, because they had put the charges on the card we used to reserve, not the one we presented on check in.

Actual room was very nice, comfortable beds, clean, and friendly staff. But all in all, would not recommend, or stay again. Given three separate large groups in 4 days, I tend to think this is not an uncommon occurrance.

Anytime you are visiting a hotel either for business or pleasure you should be able to relax because you are already away from your personal comforts. We enjoyed our large quiet room, the excellent shower, the clean AC filters and good air quality, the excellent breakfast with the cheerful hostess, and the hand sanitizer dispenser in the breakfast room. We were happy that the safe fee was removed from our invoice, since we did not use it.
There was only one mirror outside of the bathroom, with poor lighting, in our 2-queen bed suite, but better lighting in our one king bed suite. They offered Showtime instead of HBO on TV.

We just loved it. Three nights in a great room, very clean, fresh smelling, with good breakfast and plenty to see and do in the area. Friendly staff and easy parking. The Myakke State Park is literally just a few miles down the road. Would definitely stay again!
