The Players Theatre was reminiscent of a converted movie theater with what, it seemed like to me, was 50 seats in each row with no center isle. It was affordable with a range from $12 to $30 per ticket. This is possible because a lot of their actors and actress are volunteers.
They are a community theater that trains students ages 3 through college age and mature adults to 103+ years old, through The Players Performing Arts Studio. I only wished that I lived in the Sarasota area to take advantage of this opportunity.
It was easy to find the theater. It has a fenced in parking lot with a second lot one block away, as well as, on the street parking that is well lit at night. It is accessible for those in wheelchairs or with mobility problems.
We saw "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels" and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, especially due to the fact that many of the actors and actresses are amateurs. We will definitely return to this theater on our vacation next year.
