This is a very unfortunate situation. This restaurant has both excellent food and outstanding service. However, whoever designed this mess, placed the very large bar area in the middle of the restaurant, with dining tables on either side. It is a busy bar and, as one would expect, it gets extremely noisy around dinner time. Given the placement of the bar, none of the dining tables are very far from the bar area, making it impossible to find anything remotely approaching a quiet venue.
On our second visit, we tried to solve this problem by using their outdoor terrace. Same Problem! The "genius" who designed the restaurant decided it would be fun to intersperse dining tables with low seating designed for cocktails. The result - Intolerable noise levels at all the dining tables.
It is not possible to carry on a conversation in a normal voice level at any table in this restaurant. This was particularly evident on our second visit when we had guests. We actually moved to get away from a particularly loud party of drinkers. It did not solve the problem.
Unless enjoy eating in noise levels that are similar to those found in sports bars, I would avoid this restaurant at dinner.
I would, however, note that this is a very good choice for either breakfast or lunch.
