Best hamburger ever. I felt some of their items are a little pricey...like kale lemonade is a whopping $8.00 and it's a small-ish glass. The burgers were fantastic though. freshly prepared, juicy and presented perfectly. The wait time to get service was on the long side. The atmosphere at this restaurant was "California". Very mode, young, eccentric. Definitely worth to give a try.

Four of us came for dinner last night, the other couple had been before, it was our first time.

Upon entering at 745 pm for and 815 reservation, we were greeted by friendly hostess staff who informed us that they would find us when our table was ready. We were in no hurry and found our way to the busy bar where we were very well taken care by a male bartender with glasses, sorry I didn't catch his name. After a couple of beers and some great Sarasota people watching, our friends arrived, we were seated at our table shortly thereafter.

The restaurant was busy and seemed to flow very well. We met our server, Terri, who was very professional, friendly and truly liked her job. Drinks were ordered and specials were discussed. I was disappointed that the Tile fish special with Squash Blooms had just gone on the 86 board, but we talked our server into selling us an appetizer portion of the Squash Blossoms- and were happy she obliged. They were lightly fried and filled with gooey goat cheese...they were amazing.

We washed that down with a Calamari appetizer and then ordered our entrees. The ladies ordered the scallops and shrimp and the fellas ordered the Snapper. ALL the entrées were amazing. The presentations were pleasing to the eye and the food satisfied our stomachs.

After great conversation, great food and great service, we opted out of dessert but stating that we would be back again.

All in all, it was a great date night!! I highly recommend Shore!

This is a second floor, terraced restaurant of modern decor. Four of us went for lunch on a very hot day and decided to sit inside instead of on the terrace. However, the doors to the terrace remained open and we constantly harassed by flies. We asked our server if we could change tables, but she said it was no better anywhere except maybe outside. Catch 22. My burger was mediocre. The rest of the table thought their seafood tacos were pretty good, but it was an overall unpleasant experience. It might be a one time thing as the manager tried to explain.

The atmosphere of Shore is unique to say the least. it's on St. Armand's Circle. As such, the owners could very well do what most of the other restaurants do on the circle do and forgo the quality of food due to the volume of tourists, but they don't. The food is good, very good. The service, and the staff are always prompt, professional, and very, very friendly. It is evident they like working there. They have 2nd story outdoor seating, surrounded by great vertical plantings and a hip mid-century Southern California-like decor that lends itself to a calm, pleasant dining experience. They have a nice selection of "designer" cocktails, and unique whiskeys. I can appreciate their dedication to organic and locally sourced food. Everything is fresh, and always served with a friendly smile.
Although it is air-conditioned, it can sometimes it can be a bit warm (depending on the outside temp) as the front part of the restaurant, and the back ceiling are often open to the outside, which is part of Shore's design/theme.

Had a quick lunchtime drink here. Really liked the setup, reminded me of some of the new European resort bars in Portugal.
