An authentic Persian restaurant in a nondescript shopping strip - The owner makes and serves most of the dishes. The kabobs are delicious. Four of us dined here recently and had a great experience. If you're not familiar with Persian food he will explain each dish in detail. You can try something unusual or stick with the kabobs if you are a traditionalist. Everything is cooked to order. The owner enjoys describing his dishes and their origin. The Cornish game hen kabob was absolutely wonderful For dessert we all shared pistachio baklava, rice pudding and red beet/pomegranate ice cream.

The owner is dedicated to making his native Persian dishes

Don't be discouraged by the neon beer signs in the window (not indicative of what wonderful food awaits you inside).

I have read about this restaurant twice in 6 months, and finally got around to visit it. I am very happy that I did, and will be back soon.

Four if us tried three different meals: the Taste of Asha (a sampler platter with lamb kabob, skirt steak and Cornish game hen, with 2 different rices), lamb kebabs (which came with grilled vegetables and a tangy sour cream sauce) and chicken with walnut and pomegranate sauce over rice. We all thought our dinners were exquisite. For dessert, we ventured into new fast gastronomic territory with saffron rice pudding, baklava with saffron rosewater pistachio ice cream, and a freshly made, velvety beet ice cream with pomegranate sauce.

We had a wonderful Italian Shiraz, but one diner had very cold Miller Lite beer. The night we were there, the waitstaff didn't show up, so the owner served us, and explained everything about his food. His life story is unusual and inspiring. The bottom line, though, is that this is some of the most creative cooking We've had a chance to eat in a long time.

I've dined here twice and had a great experience both times. Everything is cooked to order. The owner is very gracious. If you're not familiar with Persian food he will explain each dish in detail. If you're not not in the mood to try something unusual there are excellent kabobs. My husband thought his were the best he'd ever had.

What a find! This is at the top of my list for interesting food in Sarasota.
Chicken in walnut pomegranate sauce is exquisite. The atmosphere is very friendly and casual, and the food is elegant and reasonably priced.

An excelllent restaurant featuring persian dishes. All of the food is really savory.

The three bes things are the lamb burger which is about a pound of chopped up lamb on a berger
with feta cheese and sweet cooked pepers. Another good dish is the cornish game hen kabob.

Still another excellent side is the sweet potatoe fries which are made without grease and come with a cinnamon sauce.
