“Worth the drive!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 16, 2013

We drive about an hour to go to the Sarasota Farmers Market. That ought to say enough, but I feel compelled to write more! The vegetables and fruits are fresh and local. There are plenty of other booths, too, if you are so inclined in expanding your horizons at a Farmers Market. There is a man on the corner who has a candle shop as part of the market, and his candles are amazing! His booth is a must stop for me. The other wonderful part about this Saturday event is that many of the downtown stores open up early so we also go to Penzy's and a few others.

“Great Produce, Great Fundraiser”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 20, 2013

A "Don't miss event" even more fun now that the northerners have gone back home. Not that we don't love the $$$ they bring to town, the Farmers Market is easier to navigate now that "season" is over. Great produce, arts/crafts and camaraderie!

Great selection of fresh food, fish, meats, teas, breads and fun items for sale, plants, clothes etc. Very dog friendly. worth going even if not shopping to just enjoy the venue. Oh and the breakfast wraps, by the coffee bus are to die for. The grouper tacos and lobster salads are also wonderful.

“One of the Best Farmer's Markets in Florida”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 9, 2013

I am a huge fan of Farmer's Markets and would compare this one to the most excellent Farmer's Market on Sanibel Island. I was impressed with the variety of vendors and the prepared food selection was very diverse. Empanadas were scrumptious and we thoroughly enjoyed the German food vendors as well. The streets were crowded with people but there seemed to be a very relaxed feel with everyone there. It was especially nice that credit cards were accepted by most vendors. We will definitely return on our next trip to Sarasota.

“Best Farmer's Market!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 31, 2013

This is a fantastic Farmer's Market in downtown. On the Saturday I visited, there were at least 100 vendors selling everything from fresh fruits/vegetables, seafood, beef, salsa, & baked goods to house plants, clothing, and art work. It was a bit crowded for the space it occupies, but everyone was very friendly and courteous. Took about 10 minutes to find a place to park, but it was worth every minute. This market is a gem! You will not be disappointed.
