We do not frequent the Burns Court Theatre much because the seats are uncomfortable, the size of the screens in each auditorium are small, and they do not offer senior price tickets.

This is not just the usual independent theater specializing in foreign films. They also feature films that may be seen in the major theaters but in a less noisy and smaller space. There are several good restaurants in the area and plenty of free parking.

I love small art theaters, and Burns Court Cinemas is always my go-to venue for movies. The atmosphere takes me back to my teen years in the sixties before the megaplex theaters came to be. It's not unusual for a movie to be sold out, so get there early if you don't want to be turned away. Or better yet, become a member, and then buy online ahead of time!

This is Sarasota's "art" film house. The films they offer usually can't be seen in other theatres around town. It's a fun experience since it's in the city's historic Burns Court district. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Refreshments are standard movie fare, but also include drinks and cafe items. Arrive early to find street parking. Several restaurants close-by, but they come and go frequently. My biggest complaint is small screens and sound bleed through the walls. If these issue are important to you and the same movies are playing at their sister theatre in Lakewood Ranch, you might want to consider going there instead.

I went to see chicken with plums and cried my eyes out, great place to see independent movies. Staff was very friendly but theater seats are a little small.

Thank priesthood
