Always something worth seeing. Wine and beer served--what's not to like :) Theaters are small, and parking can sometimes be a search. If you have problems walking, have someone drop you off at the door.

Over the years, we have attended showings at the Burns Court theater. The venue shows good films, by and large, but I find discomfort in their seating and the screen sizes in each oif the auditoriums are rather small compared with screens in the multiplex-type of auditoriums.

Took a day trip with my husband from Hernando County to St Armands Circle and Lido Beach. I had found Burns, online as something to do in the area. After visiting the other areas we went to a 4:30 show of "The East". We really enjoyed the cinema and the show itself. Only thing is $8.00 is a little pricey for a non-profit cinema. I'm sure if your a local, membership would be great to save money. Also, parking is horrible.

The best deal is to become a member and then tickets only cost $5 here and at Lakewood Ranch. Lots of foreign and IFC films.

The movies you see at this cinema can't be found anywhere else in the region. The prices for the tickets are very reasonable and they serve wine/beer at the concession. The seats aren't very sloped so it can be difficult to see the screen if you're short like me, but it's such a quaint and beautiful place. Highly suggested!
