Very clean, comfortable, safe, friendly staff. I didn't have time to use the pool. Didn't even see the pool. I don't think they severed breakfast or offered anything other than coffee so this was my only disappointment a donut or roll would have been nice. Rooms were spacious but quiet.

This is not a resort or hotel. It's a motel on a stretch of Tamiami Trail that is not the best, but not scary bad. The suite we stayed in had a king bed, mini fridge and range top. It had a faux-wood floor that was slightly creaky. The air-conditioning unit was quite loud but effective in cooling the rooms. Be advised, the wall between the sitting room and bedroom does not go all the way to the ceiling, so some light and sound gets over to the bedroom. The bathroom was utilitarian. The staff was friendly and competent. Cleanliness level was acceptable. Traffic noise was negligible in our second-floor corner location. We didn't use the smallish pool.
If you're on a budget and want a place not too far from the airport, this is a good bet.

Whatever parties who have owned this place over the past 60? years haven't put much effort into updating/maintaining it.
No carpet on the floor; stark white walls; tubular leg furniture like your grandmother's kitchen table of half a century ago.
Dated old bathroom fixtures. Pool located right near busy highway.
Online external photo is deceiving.
On a better note, owner/manager was friendly and accommodating when we asked to cancel our second night's reservation.

Room tip: Find one at another motel

we booked this room for the price and the location to the Ringling Circus museum. We did not know they were going for the 60's retro look. It was kind of cute when we walked in and saw the furniture. Bed was very good and the room was super clean. Had a kitchenette but we were only there two nights and did not cook anything. Would stay here again.

I was traveling with my 1 year old and was unable to give him a bath in the tub - there was no stopper to plug the drain and fill the tub. I had no choice but to bathe him in the very shallow small sink. The air conditioner in the bedroom has an auto setting and is very loud when it kicks on, which woke up my son 3 or 4 times throughout the night. Also, I wish the room had a box of tissues - i just think hotels should have tissues in the room - you don't know how much you need them until there aren't any around! Other than that, the room was lovely, comfortable, and clean. The staff was very pleasant and checking in was simple.
