The room was clean and it was nice to have a little kitchen available, especially the refrigerator. I will say though, that the room service was inconsistent - we never had the same number of towels left every day, had to ask. I had asked for a flat pillow, but never got any response to that. As others have said, the AC system was very noisy, blowing hard into the front room enough that I got laryngitis. Also, water from the bathroom sink was never warm, much less hot - fortunately, the shower was good and hot. Office people were helpful in answering touristy questions.

This hotel is in a decent location and is pleasantly decorated. However, our room was not clean enough. Obviously, I don't know if this is a widespread issue or an anomaly, but it tainted the otherwise good impression. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful.

We stayed for 3 nights, arriving at 11pm. We were able to check in just before the staff left for the night, even without a working visa-card (we payed the next day ). Parking was a bit limited, which resulted in a dent in our rental's door the next morning because we had to park next to someone who had parked a bit diagonally. We got a room on the ground floor, with a separate kitchen/chill-out room. Beds were ok, as was the shower/bathroom. There is a mini marked across the street, and a nice breakfast cafe down the street to the right. About 10 mins drive from the city center and everything else. We liked it here!

Stayed 3 days and it was a good choice. A reasonably price hotel in the Sarasota market with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Minor issue with limited cable selections but management said they are in the process of changing providers. We will take them at their word.

BTW, no free breakfast no big deal. We are frequent travelers and try to eat a healthy breakfast which is not usually possible id we rely on the commentary breakfast. Regency Inn is a good value in the Sarasota market.

The motel was near The Ringling, so it was convenient for us. It was very clean. It appeared to be freshly painted with nice bedding and features that I as a traveler appreciate. We had a table and chairs by the kitchenette area and used both the refrigerator and microwave for our breakfast. Having those 2 appliances made it possible for us to eat the leftover portion of a generous dinner entree for breakfast, (recommended dinner spot, Barnacle Bill's, was wonderful).
Despite being on a busy road, I did not hear the road noise.
It is the friendly efficient staff that made this place memorable. Front desk staff, maid, & other staff we had contact with asked us if we enjoyed our stay and if there was anything they could do for us. Any little thing we asked, they worked hard to accommodate. They made us feel welcome and special. I would go back.
