We took friends along having heard positive things about the restaurant and their $25 three course summer dinner. House wine is offered at $15. The room is well laid out with most tables having a water view. The low ceiling combined with a wooden floor does mean that the restaurant is noisy. We were four people and could converse easily but a larger group might struggle. The summer menu gives a choice of three appetisers, four mains and two desserts. The appetisers we tried were just wonderful. The pear salad a real treat. All of the main courses were exceptional. The sea bass with risotto was heavenly. The one disappointment was the Stilton custard desert. We had a lot of debate as to what it might be but it was no more than a creme caramel with a tiny piece of Stilton sitting on top. Perhaps a rush of blood to the head when preparing the menu. Service is brusque but efficient. Great food..generally, great value and a nice location. Would certainly revisit.
