See previous comments. Room had smell of fish and the carpet was wet from cleaning with a dehumidifier running to help remove the odor. Management was aware of condition and still assigned the room to me. I would not have assigned this room it was clean, dry and there was no odor. No respect for the traveling public or repeat customers.

I can assure you that what you experienced the other day was not our norm, and completely unacceptable to us. We have already had conversations with our team, reiterating that there is no room for error when it comes to inspecting rooms and releasing them to the traveling public.

Conference held there recently...very disappointed in this Hilton property that felt more like a Microtel or Red Roof....not that those don't do a good job, but for a better price and fewer expectations.
Check in was much delayed for some reason. Many people sitting in the lobby waiting for rooms was the first indication of understaffing.

When we arrived, there was coffee and a nice water carafe with lemon in the lobby. The water disappeared TOTALLY after that. We literally had to beg for water anywhere in the hotel!
The water fountains did not work and food service was not forthcoming with providing it for our meeting rooms. In fact, the food served was very ordinary and food service understaffed. With over 100 attendees, more than half were expected to eat outside under a tent. The only Breakfast food, of any kind was ONE choice of a buffet for $11. And again in the lobby that could seat only 40+ people.
On the positive side, the staff was friendly and the rooms clean. On the whole,
I would say this is NOT a good site for anything but small meetings or events.

I can assure you that what you experienced the other day was not our norm, and completely unacceptable to us. We have already had conversations with our team, reiterating that they delay you experienced at check in was unacceptable.

The problem stemmed from allowing too many late check outs from the group inhouse with us the previous day, giving our housekeepers a short window of time to clean enough rooms for our Sunday arrivals.

The hotel would have been able to accommodate the meals in the meeting room. The tent and dining room were arranged based on the direction of the conference organizers, who wanted to give everyone the chance to break from the meeting.

Please feel free to contact me or anyone else in our management team directly if there is anything else we can do to make up for the inconvenience at arrival. We hope that we have the opportunity to regain your loyalty, and look forward to hearing any further feedback you may have.

Hotel is quiet even with a major group of wedding guests wh partied all night long. Being forced to write additional characters in the review in order to submit isn't a good thing. So here I am writing additional characters trying to get to the minimum character requirements.

We had a very big party for a wedding, and the staff was very helpful and kept us on sch on checking in an out and was available to answer any questions we had.Awesome experience. Will use them again in the future or recommend to others around this area thank you.

My wife and I stayed here for two plus weeks during a business/pleasure visit to the area. The management have done a good job in employee selection and training.....the staff make you feel like family here......the hotel is the standard Hilton Garden Inn formula, which is really very well thought out and executed, as usual, ......nice rooms, good cooked breakfast daily......good business center, etc., but the added value here is the eager willingness to help on the part of the staff......the housekeeping staff, the restaurant, front desk and management all make a special effort to make each guest feel welcome. I had a number of faxes to send......and they were eagerly and quickly dispatched by the front desk personnel. This is a formula hotel in reality, but due to the service here one feels as though one were staying with a family in a B & B. We appreciated the service here. No hesitation in recommending this property.

This Hilton Garden In has always been an excellent choice and the upscale redesigned lobby and breakfast area made this stay very enjoyable. Very good accessibility to Sarasota, Bradenton and the beaches.

The Hilton Garden Inn in Sarasota is an excellent hotel. Sarasota is a great little town, and there is a lot to do. The Hilton is next to the Powell Crosley Estate, which hosts a ton of weddings, and it was why many people find themselves there. There is a lot to do in town besides watching friends get hitched. The HGI is a great hotel option that is nicely priced and a great place to stay.
