“New in town”
Reviewed August 6, 2013

We are visiting from Ohio, our family said "do you want a treat" we will take you to the best place in town for dinner. We went to Goodfellows, what a treat it was, my husband is still talking about the aged olive oils and balsamic he had on his salad. We are going back today before we leave town to buy some. Sarasota you are very fortunate to have this eatery in your town. Looking forward to our next visit..

“Best pizza in Sarasota Florida!!”
Reviewed August 4, 2013

Great Pizza and Mussels Marina. We also get our coffee beans there roasted right in house while you watch. They make and sell only their own wines. They also make flavored balsamic vinegar and olive oils. I don't think they charge enough for their pizza!! Best pizza deal in town and the owner Frank is always there!!! I am a Jersey Girl and we Jersey folk know a good pizza and Goodfellas sure serves up a great pie I love the pizza so much I have not tried any entree's!!!

“Amazing Pizza! Wonderful Experience!”
Reviewed August 4, 2013

A few friends and I went out for some pizza this weekend and we ended up at Goodfellas on Clark road in SRQ. A quick ride up from Siesta Key, we enjoyed a couple Large Cheese Pizzas between the group. Hands down best pie I've had in Florida. The dough absolutely made it. Nice and crispy with a hint of garlic and just the right amount of cheese and sauce. Both pies were gone before we knew it. Sherry, our waitress was great! Polite, attentive and really made us feel welcome. Overall a great experience!! Goodfellas will be me new "Go To" pizza spot from now on!

“Simply Perfect!!!”
Reviewed August 3, 2013

My girlfriend and I were looking to grab a bite and we passed Goodfellas, looked it up on TripAdvisor, saw the great review's and decided to stop in and OH MY FREAKING GOD WE FOUND HEAVEN!!! As we walked up you could smell the fresh toasting crust from the ovens,,with the silky aroma's of the fresh, in-house roasted coffee!! (weeee!!!). From there,, we entered the doors and were greeted by smile's from guest's and staff and were seated at a delightful table by who we later learned was the proprietor, Frank. A gentleman with the touch of Midas!! And then the menu..(W-O-W).We decided on the Boston, (which seems to be the hot pick) with a nice, fresh thin crust that actually has flavor,, a caprese salad, (with basil leaves that were HUGE!!!) and with that come's the option of infused oil and balsamic vinegar's..(mouth still watering...). To be honest, everything on the menu sounded deeelish,, found out but pretty much expected that the crust, sausage, the basil, and even the wine are made in house!!( See,, told you!!! HEAVEN!!!).. I am so glad we found our new favorite place. The experience is only the beginning for us and I'm really really glad we stopped in... Thank you Frank and your excellent staff for a great everything!!!

“Food, Fun and Fabulous all in one”
Reviewed August 2, 2013

We stumbled across Goodfellows as we were looking for a good pizza in the Myakka State Park vicinity. We were wowed from the moment we entered until the moment we left. First of all, it had personality, great energy and a lot of local people. We had to wait a couple of minutes for a table, but that was not a problem. It gave us a chance to see the "little Italy" influence that was highlighted through out the shop. A couple of clues were the pictures with Italian sayings, a map of Italy highlighting the specific regions and not to mention that they have their own labeled wine, balsamic vinegars and olive oils. Our excitement to find such a treat amongst the suburban metropolis was culminated with a delicious antipasto salad and dressings from the dressing bar. The pizza was stunningly delicious as you would expect a fire oven pizza to be. But....we soon learned later from Frank, the owner that the dough for the pizza is indeed special. The flour is unbromated and they ferment the yeast as they do in Italy, (no yeast!). For a foodie fool, I was delighted. The fresh basil on the pizza was a great addition as well. After dinner, we were astounded to find that we could take home a pound of fresh roasted, before our eyes, pound of Brazilian Cerrado Coffee beans, bourbon style. The aroma of the coffee was tantalizing as we drove home. Needless to say....Hello, Goodfellows! We are happy we found you! We can't wait to return.
