We stayed at the Hampton Inn adjacent to the Legacy Trail in Venice (great stay--see my review). We rode on the trail a lot, but our favorite ride was the day we rented bikes for our entire party from Reale Bikes (great bike shop--see my review on this as well) and rode north to Oscar Scherer State Park. The trail is straight and flat, but goes through suburban neighborhoods north to the open areas of the park. They are in the process of constructing a ped/bike overpass across the arterial just to the south, which will connect to the extensive bike paths in Venice. What a neat trail!
