This place is amazing. They do God's work and the "permanent residents" on display are numerous and varied. This includes a number of seabirds with prosthetic legs and feet, which is really interesting to see. They are right next door to Mote, so an easy add-on if you're already going there. You could spend about 2 hours there (it's small), 3 if you're really into birds. Their admission price is soooo low ($3 and $5), you should add a few extra dollars as a donation.
