And look around. A lot of open air restaurant seating and unique shopping. It is well worth a few hours of your time with many dining options.

My wife and I visit St. Armands at least once a month (we live in Sarasota). I'm amazed at how it is still just a great place to walk, browse, watch people, shop and eat. We will sometimes go on Saturday morning, start at the Blue Cafe (I think is the name) for a breakfast, walk and shop, get a coffee and then maybe walk to the beach (which is very close). If it's Saturday night, we will park and walk -- usually go without dinner reservations and just let the evening unfold. There are quite a few great shops out there too and even though some are at the mall (Tommy Bahamas, Black & White, Soma, etc) the shops on the circle are just a bit better for reasons unknown.

The kids always like to get ice cream, fudge or some candy. Another things we'll do on occasion is take the short drive to Mote Marine or The Salty Dog (~ 1 mi) and enjoy some other great things on the key.

Go to the circle without a plan -- just walk and enjoy. It's just a totally cool place.

Visited St. Armands Circle after going to Lido Beach. There are four corners each with about 30+ stores/restaurants. Ate at the second floor bar at Tommy Bahama's restaurant overlooking the street. Great place for people watching. Many nice stores to shop in. Will definitely return.

I think what I like about this the most is its location, so close to the beach. The majority of shops are not the typical cheap "beach trinket" kind.

When you visit St. Armand's Circle, be sure to stroll into Fantasea. The scent of the store is indescribable. The staff is friendly and gift wrapped my purchases, even though I did not spend very much money.

If you love the beachy designs featured in Coastal Living, you will love Fantasea. I'll be returning for a few days in July and I'll be sure to re-stock on the store's linen spray, their signature scent.

The ladies that work in the shop are so kind and so friendly; not snooty, not pretentious, just helpful and they really make shopping at Fantasea a pleasure !
