“Very nice stroll, a great place to spend part of the afternoon.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 21, 2013

St. Armands Circle is a great place to grab a leisurely lunch or coffee, then spend a couple hours strolling around, perhaps peeping into a few shops and galleries. While there are stores with quality products, it may not necessarily be a fashionista's first choice for shopping. That being said, there are plenty of shops to pick up more unique and artisanal items. Macaroon store is a good place to stop if you can't normally get macaroons; there are a few ice cream and coffee shops too. Personally, I would come to walk around browse and maybe get a coffee/snack, as well as people watch and look at some local art (and buskers).

I was told this was the Beverly Hills of the Gulf and I honestly wasn't that impressed. It felt more like a tourist trap, while there was an amazing macaroon shop and some great restaurants... if your thinking great apparel shopping, not so much :(

“Good for an upscale shopping trip with lunch at an outdoor cafe.”

A pleasurable way to spend some time if you like to shop at upscale stores. I would suggest checking to make sure you would be interested in any of the stores before you fight the traffic during high tourist times. There are a few nice little outdoor places to grab a bite and people-pet watch.

“Upscale Shops & Eats with Beach Town Elegance!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 8, 2013

St. Armand's Circle is a fairly large (100+ tenants) outdoor destination shopping area over a short bridge from Mainland Sarasota...convenient to Lido Beach, Siesta Key, and Longboat Key.

The mood is "Upscale Relaxed" with Lily Pulitzer, Foxy Lady, Tommy Bahama and a lot of local and non-chain fashion and accessory stores nestled amongst restaurants, gelato and ice cream parlours, jewelry and antiques shops.

Free parking, piped-in jazz, and a very dog-friendly attitude sweetens the breezy shopping, dining, and people-watching experience, under the sunshiny skies of the day, or during the after-hours vibe of the night.

A very enjoyable way to spend a couple of hours!

This is a great area, plenty of boutique shops and restaurants. Also a Kilwins, my personal favourite. It's a very busy area and parking is difficult. It's a great place to spend an evening wandering around the shops before dinner.
