“Just beautiful!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 24, 2013

A fabulous place to spend an afternoon or morning. The orchids in the Conservatory are just gorgeous. There us usually a guide in the Conservatory who can answer your questions. Walk and talk guides give a short, informative tour from the Bonsai plants to the Banyans. Just enough to whet your appetite and give some knowledge. Walking around is so peaceful, the views of the water gorgeous. Not to miss!

“Exquisite gem”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 24, 2013 via mobile

Ignored this on previous trips to Sarasota and that was a mistake. Lovely paths through magnificent gardens. With healthy and well identified vegetation this is a gem. You can not find better path markers with intelligent quotations and readings pertinent to the web of the natural world. We are reminded we are but a small part of this complex system.

Parking lot is rather limited so best to get there early.

“My favorite place to walk and take photos!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 23, 2013

Not cheap unless you have a friend with free passes, and even that will now cost $5 -- nothing free anymore, which is sad. Right near the entrance is a wonderful orchid house with water exhibits. Great place to photograph flowers! THe walk along the bay is lovely and the koi pond is fun especially if you are there after 1 pm when the fish are fed. Check out the big white house where the exhibits are located. In March is a wonderful exhibit of Costa Rican masks. This is my favorite place to take visitors.

“ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 23, 2013

We have been visiting Sarasota for years and have driven past this place hundreds of times and never stopped. This past year we had a couple cloudy days so decided to check it out. It was absolutely breathtaking. We had a friend with us who was visiting and truly enjoyed the beautiful flowers and the trees...........definitely will be back.
