These gardens are a delight to vist and walk through. Many varieties of plants. Visit the little cafe in the back and the gorgeous gift shop in the gardens.

The Marie Selby gardens are beautiful. The enclosed garden area features lots of orchids. The property is not too large so it's walkable even for those with limited mobility. There are benches everywhere, and it's nice to sit and admire the scenery. The garden includes an accessible treetop walkway. What I liked the best was the koi pond with buddha statue. My mother died recently and I look at the photo of the pond to find serenity and comfort.

This place is an amazing experience. There is a wide variety of things to do here. Just walking the grounds under the huge trees and being "wowed" by the beauty and variety of plants from orchids, bromeliads, bonsai trees, succulents, ferns, palms and is a relaxing and enriching experience. We spent a lot of time on the various walks and views into the bay, being surprised by little lizards along the way. The historic homes were beautiful and the tea tasting was fun too.
We are real plant enthusiasts and probably spent more time here than others might. But I think that there is plenty at these gardens to interest anyone. One of the volunteers told us that she comes here every week and there is always something different happening or blooming. I believe it.

We spent a very enjoyable afternoon at the gardens. At first I was apprehensive about spending the $17 to enter, but after only five minutes, I was amazed at the beauty of all that was there. You get to walk the grounds at your own pace. The variety was beyond anything I had seen before. Well worth the price of entry. Give yourself a few hours to leisurely stroll through and to sit and enjoy the views. You too will be amazed
