“Good food & service on 30A”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 10, 2013 via mobile

Ate here 4 times over the 4th of July week. Best meal was the first lunch we had there just as they opened on Sunday. The rest of the meals were just ok. Oysters were very fresh & good. However, the young man cracking could use a little more experience (guess that’s what he’s doing…) lots of shell left in the liquor. But hey, if you don’t like shell, don’t eat oysters right. Very good burger! Crawfish hush puppies were very good. Crab cakes were outstanding. Had 3 fish entrees 3 different nights. All 3 were over cooked. One was not even the fish I ordered. I guess it was busy. Still the best place we ate this trip down 30A.

“Busy restaurant near beach”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 9, 2013

I doubt Stinky's needs any more recommendations to get people to visit. We had lunch there on a Saturday about 2:00 pm and it was still pretty busy. In the evening it is VERY busy and doesn't take reservations I believe. My wife had a salad with salmon and I had crab cakes which were very tasty. Service was good even though our waitress was covering a lot of tables. I saw there was some outdoor seating upstairs overlooking a lake. We sat downstairs inside. I agree with the other reviewers who said how well prepared everything was.

“Wait you will but this is worth it!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 9, 2013 via mobile

We waited 1 hour after arriving at 5:15 pm. Get there at 4:15-4:30 and you should be set! You name it and I have eaten there....this place beats them all! This is a must do for every family that can afford the tab! It is expensive BUT this is the best food of my 3 week vacation in Destin! I can highly recommend the chowder, fried green tomatoes, fried oysters with mango sauce, any of the fish specials. The key lime is perfect and has been listed in Southern Living.

“Great food, good service, awesome drinks”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 7, 2013

Went for lunch with friends. Arrived to a 20 min wait. Bellied up to bar and saw the Bloody Mary's everywhere. Ordered 2 and the homemade mix with all the fixings was incredible ( I am a former bartender) the Mary had lots of vodka, homemade mix, celery, pickled okra, pickled green bean, olives, lemon, lime, and a giant boiled shrimp with a delicious mixed salt/spice rim. The drink was almost and appetizer and cocktail in one! Wait was not quite as long as quoted which was nice. Sat down and had some oysters which had been some of the best we had seen since in Fl.
Between the 6 of us we had a couple of po boys, shrimp and grits, blackened salad, and the stinky fish stew.
All the seafood was cooked perfectly and was fresh and delicious. ( my bar tending days were at a 4 star seafood house)
Prices were reasonable. Can't wait to go back next time on visit to 30a area.

“Stinky's”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 7, 2013

Super lunch at Stinky's. I had the blackened redfish (Fish of the day) over a huge salad. Salad had the freshest greens, potatoes, corn green beans, plus the regular salad fixins. This was no "pour out of the bag salad"! Redfish was amazing, well seasoned, buttery. My dinner companion had the burger with fried brie and caramelized onions. Beef tasted like beef, brie was a great addition. Bun was freshly made. Obviously this is a popular place as it was packed, however the food and service were worth it. Valet parking for everyone. Don;t miss this place if you are visiting Santa Rosa Beach!
