Description: Café Thirty-A is a casual fine-dining restaurant featuring grilled and fire roasted seafood, meats and poultry, wood-oven pizza, vegetarian fare and hedonistic, "architectural" desserts. The menu changes daily according to availability of ingredients. Fine wines and cocktails--including a creative menu of the best martinis in the area--complement the meal. The ambiance is open, casual, "islandy," yet sophisticated, with vaulted ceilings, upside-down market umbrellas, hand painted chairs, intimate lighting and half-wall dividers creating the atmosphere. Patrons often state, "It just makes you feel good to walk in here!" It's a fun, happening place to dine - with impeccable, yet unpretentious, service. Recent and ongoing awards are: Wine Spectator Award of Excellence, Florida Trend Golden Spoon Award, North American Restaurant Association Five-Star Award of Excellence, NW Florida Daily News “Restaurant of the Year.” Private dining for 25-80 is available upstairs in the Fishbone

The Lobster In Paradise was outstanding ! The truffled macroni and cheese was to die for. Last but not least, Bellini Tini Martini was fabulous! Cafe 30-A should be a must on your places to eat in Seagrove.

We make a point of one special meal when vacationing and each year when we visit the South Walton area, we make sure Cafe Thirty A is on our list. And again this year, they do not disappoint! The food is amazing, the service impeccable and the atmosphere all you could wish for at a nice beach restaurant. This year we went early to sample the $5 martinis in the bar - watch out they are lethal :), Then we moved on to the dining room for dinner - again we went with fresh fish entrees. I had the grouper and hubby had the tuna - both were cooked to perfection. If you are like us, and coming from eastern time, you may be hungry a little early - if so take advantage of their early special from 5-6. A couple seated near us in the bar ordered at 5:55 to get the special price and were able to sit in the bar area to enjoy their meal along with $5 martinis. WIsh we had thought of that! Maybe next year....

We go to the early dinner because entrees are 1/2 off. We also indulge in several courses since we get such a great deal on a fine dining dinner. Great service and a menu that changes daily based on local fish and produce.

Definitely worth going for the 2-for-1 entree deal between 5-6pm (orders need to be placed before 6pm). This is the second year in a row that we have been here while on vacation. I really appreciate how family friendly it is even though it is clearly an upscale restaurant. My picky 2 year old loves the linguine with butter and parmesan. The scallops are consistently good. The crabcake, softshell crab, shrimp with linguine were also excellent. The meals here have been really satisfying -- and we have been to some of the best restaurants in the country.

We ate early and took advantage of the BOGO special. The food was extremely delicious, but the portions were pretty small. Entrees don't come with a salad; you must order a salad separately. This can really add up a bill quickly. We also ordered the child's grilled grouper, and our 3 and 4 year olds shared it. The child's portion was huge! It had a large piece of fish, and large portions of both green beans and mashed potatoes. So, the adult portion sizes seemed pretty small, and the kid portions seemed really big.
